Thoughts on Thursday
As we get ready to bid this week farewell, I have a few thoughts.
-why, after a dusting of snow, is traffic bumper to bumper? There were no accidents. There was no cause for delay. We seriously don't need to be stop and go, doing 20 km/hr max. Guess what? That actually causes more fender benders--people slamming on brakes. Also, how hard is it to keep the 417 salted/sanded and on/off ramps plowed clear??? The city is seriously flubbing up this year with snow removal. You would think we're not in Canada or something! SPOILER: It snows here. ALOT, usually. Also, you saved over 4 million in the snow removal sector just from having snow fall later. I silently plead with them in the car every morning to get their stuff together!
-Our house is finally listed on the realtor.ca site. It's been on the Comfree site for a few days now, but it takes a few days for the realtor site to review and approve the application :) Here we are!:

-Last night we had our first showing. A young couple (little bit older than us) with one 7 year old son. His school is right behind our house, and plays hockey at the arena down our street. Sounds like they love the house and is ideal for them. But they are waiting for their listing to be posted, and will see how fast their place sees any action. Would love to sell to them, but realistically, it probably won't work out. We have our next showing (so far) Saturday at 10AM. Sunday we are heading into town to see a bunch of houses.
-Next weekend is G-man's THIRD birthday party. Construction zone theme. He is going to LOVE it. We are hoping to host our first open house the following day, as long as nothing crazy happens in the coming week (like selling the house lol)
- I FINALLY watched "The Giver"--which is my absolute favourite novella ever. I am so pleased at how well they did the movie. I cried so hard. Just excellent!
-We finished off Parks and Rec a few weeks ago and have started binge watching The Office. Tyler had never seen a single episode of this before?! Craziness. He is enjoying it thoroughly, and I am enjoying seeing it again!
- Pretty Little Liars started again up again on the 12th. I watched it yesterday, and am really underwhelmed by it. I hope it picks up :(
- I received Garett's birthday décor in the mail, and ordered his cake and shirt. I am waiting for the shirt to arrive still and am placing an order for the food tomorrow :)
-On Monday, I am off work. G has his next appointment at the eye doctors. Usually they run very late (like 1-2 hours behind) so I take whole days off when he goes there. The doctor is SO excellent, and really makes sure to take his time with the patients, which is great when you're in there , but make darn sure you know that means he's running behind all day lol. So we will just make a nice afternoon together afterwards :)
-Tuesday I am off work at 1, because I have my IPS #1 ultrasound and bloodwork :) I am SO excited to see the peanut again! I also have to call my obgyn that day and book an appt. He is taking me right away this time, instead of family doctor until 32 weeks and him in the last bit, because he is getting set to retire and closed up shop on his pediatric practise and only handles preggers now! Awesome news to my ears! :) I just love him so much.
- Tomorrow after work (Friday!) I am heading out to dinner with two girlfriends, and out to see "sisters". I am so excited! I have been wanting to see it since it came out!
-I have a gift certificate to use at the spa still, and have to find time to do it! I just don't know what I want to use it for--a prenatal massage? A pedicure? manicure? too much to choose from! And so little time to spare to actually use it lol. THIS is why we are moving into town! Not to save on time on commutes, and be closer to schools and hospitals, but because I need to be able to just go to the spa (and not the $120 pedicure in embrun type) lol.
