A little game of catch-up

Oh, hello there.

Long time no chat.

Yes, it's the typical sob story. Life is crazy. Blogging can wait.

Here I am to play a little game of catch up in point form :)

-They found Tyler's truck (I can't remember if I wrote about this). It was pretty dinged up, and the inside was completely dismantled pretty well. So they ran an investigation on it, and ruled it to be a write off. Tyler is working with insurance now to work out a fair price. He will order a new F-250 with the specs he wants to replace it.

- On Feb 6 we went to the children' museum. There is a big Thomas the train exhibit. When we arrived we saw the MASSIVE line to get in. So we went and looked at all of the other things there is to see there (wow. It is SO cool. Literally would have been my favourite place as a child). We stopped at the cafeteria for lunch, and took in some views of the parliament buildings from there. Then we approached the line. We waited probably 45 minutes in line to get in, but G was SO cooperative and had a blast inside the exhibit. Such a little monkey :)

- On Feb 8 (the Monday) I was off work to have blood taken, and in a turn of events, had to pick G up early from daycare  (he had a fever and wasn't eating).

-I was off the entire work week, Garett was running a crazy fever and we couldn't get it down. Monday night it peaked around 104.8 (which is terrifying), but managed to get it down in a few minutes to 102. I called the following morning and we went to the doc at 11. Double ear infection for my boy. I wasn't happy to hear the news, but I was relieved to know he didn't catch anything--not the flu that's going around! So he started his meds (and will finish Thursday this week). And improved over the course of Tues/Weds. Thursday he was feeling better by night time, but our babysitter had to pick her son up from school sick, so I kept Garett home on Friday so he didn't catch the flu that kid had. She decided to post pone valentines day until Tuesday :) So g didn't miss out on that at least!

- Tyler had a 24 hour bug on Thursday too. Fun. He went into work anyways though so I didn't have to wait on him hand and foot at least.

- I disinfected the house. lots.

- We put an offer in on the house we really want, and it was accepted! :) It could still be bought out from under us until we sell our place, but for now, we are celebrating the victory. We have the inspection on it tomorrow morning.  Very excited to see the house again! :)

- Daycare is closed today, Garett is spending the day with his granny :)

- Tyler got a call last night at 8:30 that hot water was pouring through the wall in the bathroom in his store. He got in touch with an emergency after hours plumber, drove into town, shut the water off and headed home. He brought a little snack for us and we ate it in bed at 9:45 and watched an episode of The office and went to bed!

-I got a call from my doctors office that the bloodwork I had done on Feb 8 (the date the ultrasound clinic wrote on it), was still too early (they wanted it three days later), so I have to go back. The lady that drew my blood last time left a big bruise on my arm that's still there. So I will just go after my doctors appointment on Feb 23, and hope the bruise is gone by then! It's been a week now and it's just starting to heal! lol

- The babysitter moves this weekend, so as of Monday next week, they will be in a nice huge house in the suburbs (instead of the country road they're on now). I think it will be a welcomed change for everyone! Garett is excited for her NEW HOUSE lol

-We are 16 weeks pregnant today. Which means the gender ultrasound is coming up soon :) Can't wait--by then we will probably know the fate of the house, and I can start mentally decorating the nursery! Our closing date is April 21, but we are allowed to move it up if we sell our house faster :)

-Yesterday we had a couple come through the house. Today they are coming back at 3 with their dads. Hope it goes well. I hate not being there to even just say hello!

- We have tickets for the hockey game on Thursday night, but not sure if we can make it, so we are going to try and sell them.

- I surprisingly only had 253 unread emails from my week "off" this morning. I'm all caught up now :) It feels so nice to be back to work.....even though it was FREEZING again this morning.

- This weather can stop anytime now.

- I think that's all for now! Hope everyone is doing well! :) Happy Monday!
