Weekend Recap
I can't wait to be on maternity leave again so I can start photodumping into every blog post. My computer at work won't let me upload pictures, so I would have to do it from home and then write the corresponding post #aintnobodygottimeforthat
This weekend was pretty laid back! We have been getting lucky with weekends at home. I am thankful for the time we get alone at home as a family :)
Friday Tyler had to pick Garett up by noon from daycare, but had an estimate in town at 2:30, so he dropped G off at Granny's house for an hour until I could pick him up! When we got home that evening, we cleaned the basement out a bit and headed to the grocery store to do a medium sized haul. Garett loves grocery shopping, and is always the apple of a few employees eyes while we are there, so it takes longer than it does if I just go alone. We ran into tylers Aunt Charlene there also, so stopped to chat for a few minutes. When we got home, we just had a random dinner and relaxed. It was nearing bedtime, so we did the bath routine and G was off to bed.
Saturday we were up bright and early, and did nothing all day! We caught up on some laundry and went through some clothes, and my basket of candles, air fresheners , scentsys, soaps, etc (I have WAY too much of this stuff). I headed to the grocery store because I drank the last glass of milk and had forgotten to buy more the night before (And I NEED milk. Craving it again this pregnancy). Got carried away there again because I went there hungry. Oh well...now I will definitely start thinning out the pantry. We won't need anymore food, except for the fresh stuff, until we move. Lord help me if I have 15 boxes of food to move.
Sunday Garett decided to wake up extra early (6:30) and was beaming with energy. The boys got bundled up and played outside for about 45 minutes. G got pulled around in his sled like a little king, and the front yard has a nice sized hill for G to sled down, so they did that for quite some time! A man came to pick up the lawn tractor from the other side of Montreal, since we don't need it in the new place, and the people that bought our house didn't want to buy it. We watched them load it in the trailer from the front window, and G thought it was the coolest thing ever haha . We hung around and played the rest of the day. A certain someone decided not to nap, so we sat down to watch the Oscars stuff around 5:30. He sat at his paw patrol table and cruised youtube while we ate dinner, and pretty much just cuddled with me on the couch until 8:45. I couldn't believe he made it that late, since he was yawning by 6:30, but did NOT want to go to bed yet lol After we put him down, we stayed up to watch the ENTIRE Oscars.....which didn't end until about midnight. WTF??? Who plans this??? I have a large rant about the show this year, but I will keep it to myself.
Needless to say I was a little tired this morning. Woke up to find an inch of ice on my car, so I ran it for like 30 minutes, pushed all the ice off in pretty much one large sheet, went inside to warm up, and headed into work. The roads were actually clear, but I wish people would learn to get ALL of the ice off of their cars--because huge sheets of ice flying at you on the highway doesn't seem safe at all!
The sold sign goes up on our new place today, so we might take a ride into town later to see it up there, but not sure if it's worth the extra ride in, when we could just go later lol.
This week seems to be pretty boring. In comparison to the big news we will hopefully receive next week :) (baby gender). I am 18 weeks today! Come on next 20 weeks! Can't wait to have this little peanut here with us!
This weekend, daddy and G have a date day with one of our friends and his son, who is about 8 months younger than G. They are hitting up the toddler area in cosmic adventures. We showed Garett a video of it and he declared "I WANT TO GO THERE, DADDY" and melted daddy's heart, so what my boy wants, my boy immediately gets the following weekend haha. He is looking forward to it, to say the least :) I think I will use the time to go get my pedicure, finally, since mommy was not invited to boys day out :(
Other than that, not much new here! 31 more days until the move! Let the packing, planning and excitement commence!
Happy Monday :)
