Four months

Image
Our sweet little angel went for her four month shots today. I seriously can't get over this kids temperament.  She is so relaxed and happy all of the time unless she is starving or the wrong temperature. Nothing else grinds her gears ! Today was the second round of the three shots they get at 2 months as well. The oral vaccine is her favourite. Both times she just sucked it right back lol. The nurse said if they get 30% of the liquid it's considered successful. My kid got 100% both times haha the first shot didn't even make her flinch or cry. The second one was the "bad one" and she cried for maybe 10 seconds, then finished her bottle. She's a trooper !! Here's her stats at 16 weeks: Weight : 12 lb 13.5 oz (25th percentile) Height :24 inches long (almost 50th percentile) Head circumference : 15 3/4 inches (50th percentile ) She is doing well. Doctor has no issues :) At four months her favourite things are: -baths -eye contact  -to giggle/smile -silly noise...

Weekend craziness

Image
This weekend was jam packed. I'm happy it's over, lol. Things will be more calm until Christmas now , thankfully.  Friday night we switched our trip from Panama to our home resort Dreams Palm Beach in Dominican. The flights alone were over $3k each round trip to panama, so no thanks. Just have to book our taxi transfers from the airport and we are all set :)  We ordered in dinner on Friday night because Tyler only found out later in the day that they couldn't set up for the mini comic con at the EY centre on Saturday morning, so they had to get it all loaded and unloaded that night. He got home around 6.  We just relaxed and cleaned a little bit. Saturday morning, he worked at that comic con until about 1:30, home for 2. We finished cleaning, wrote out a note for Reeann , left money out for delivery, and got ready. Reeann is Garett's old babysitter , and she brought her older son to play with Garett also. It was a long morning, Garett was so excited for them to get here...

Life lately

Image
Life lately has been pretty low key this week :) -rearranged the living room -made a new toy room area for Garett on the main floor -put up the two Christmas trees , still need to put the decorations on the second -started inside decorations for Christmas -made dinner everynight (unheard of in our house usually lol) -caught up on ALLof the laundry -bought wrapping paper and will wrap everything next week.  -got Keira's Santa pictures dress in the mail and Garett's new snowsuit/outdoor accessories  -organized the front hall closet finally -Steve went in for his surgery and has two teeth left. He is doing well.  -we are getting into a good groove with the kids and is getting easier to watch them alone - tylers f250 has been out plowing twice (he pays another guy to do the runs ) -Keira has slept between 8-10 hours overnight all week. Spoiled momma! -I bought all new bras and underwear and they came in the mail also--I needed new stuff since the pre Keira stuff fits weird no...

Weekend recap!

Image
This weekend was so busy. And it proved to me I can still be me, apart from being a mommy. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful people willing to help out with the kids when needed.  I was starting to feel like all ty and I talked about and connected over were the kids, so Friday came at the perfect time.  Garett had pj and movie day at daycare , then got to play with Amber (and her momma for a bit ), eat some pizza and hang out. He had a blast , as I knew he would, and Keira was find without me--which I knew she would be, but those mommy Senses get tingly when I thought about it beforehand. But I know I'm doing neither of my kids a favour by never letting them have the experience of being with other people. We headed out in our Uber to our dinner reservations at Joeys Lansdowne. It was literally one of the best meals we have ever had.  The atmosphere is so nice, the servers are so friendly and knowledgable, the food was delicious , and the drinks were creative and...

So. tired. (That means no real title )

Yesterday I put away 5 loads of laundry and washed more.#neverendingcycke  I also changed all the bed sheets, cleaned Garett's room and washed/sterilized/ made bottles and made my grocery list.  Once we were done , Keira and I went to get Garett , and popped in to see daddy at his store to tell him we were getting Wendy's for dinner (yay no cooking ) It was pretty nice, but a bit chilly. Here's what Keira wore. (Her hat didn't make the pic because she only lets me put it on at the last minute haha) So, we picked up the Wendy's and came home. Tyler cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes while me and the kids played upstairs for a bit. Then Tyler took Keira to nap her with him and I got to play with gman :) Shortly after , it was bedtime. Tyler ended up having to do Garett's stuff. I got to do two homework pages with him, but Keira was grumpy and crying , so I took over there and Tyler took over with G.  Last night was Garett's weirdest nights ever. His light ...

Another Manic Monday gone by

Image
Yesterday was crazy. Almost caught up on doing the laundry, prepped for dinner, tried on christening stuff, went out and got two more gifts bought. Now I only have my parents and Tyler'smom and step dad to buy for. Goal is to be done , and everything wrapped by Dec 1!  When we tried on Keira's christening gown, I wanted to try her onesie I bought her for under her dress. It says "my baptism day". I bought 3-6 months. She is just over 3 months. And in the 95th percentile for height....well....she's too long for it. Sighhhh lol For dinner, I made a Martha Stuart recipe. I bought a little chicken and roasted it with a white wine and herb sauce.  I also roasted some carrots, and made these scalloped potatoes : Yum.  Keira and I picked up Garett together, and Tyler was home quickly behind us.  We had a fun night eating and playing, making forts and playing mini stick hockey in the basement.  Garett was in bed by 7:30, Keira by 8:45, and I was soon after around 9:30 l...

Weekend recap

Image
This weekend flew by, for real. I feel like we had no time together, but spent the whole weekend as a family. That's just how life is, I guess!  Friday Keira and I tried to run out and do some errands before Remembrance Day things began, but realized all the places we needed to go only opened at 12:30, so we went home! Here is what she wore : Headband:Carters Boots:Joe Fresh On the way in the door, we saw the Snowbirds flying overhead, and once we got settled, I felt the house start shaking. Took me a second to find my phone and almost missed them, but three Blackhawks were flying right over our house also. Pretty spectacular and powerful! When the boys got home, we played and made some homemade turkey burgers for dinner. G thinks they're hamburgers and he ate an entire one and some fruit parfait for dessert. #momwin Saturday we were up bright and early. Keira had a rough night (well, she was half asleep, so I assume she was well rested, but her moving and stuff in her bassinet...

Goodbye unproductive week

Image
Another unproductive day yesterday   I just can't bring myself to do much of anything. What a lazy week! Oh well. Just soaking in Keira time. Also, she didn't nap for like 8 hours yesterday , so there's that too.  We went for our walk though , so she got dressed , followed by putting warm stuff on over top, don't worry :) Shoes are by Little Beginnings off of Zulily and the headband is by Carters  I put away some MORE laundry (never ending) and skewered my marinated chicken souvlaki kabobs. I started the show "Jane the Virgin" and I like it a lot so far. Had some lunch. Swept the family room, did some dishes and tidied toys.  When the boys got home Keira was finally napping, so I cooked the kabobs , some rice, and cut up onion/feta/tomato/cucumber for my Greek salad. Tyler and Keira hung in the basement while g and I played a bit. Then ty came up and brought me Keira and he played with g a bit. At 7:45 I did gs bedtime routine with him (late for him now).  Onc...

The one with the 9 hour sleep night!

Keira and I have been enjoying the laid back days lately. We are really becoming each other's biggest fans . And I am really enjoying my time with her :) This morning we got dressed and went to the mailbox. We also had two delivery men come and drop some more Christmas surprises off ! Woot.  Also, my nephews birthday gift FINALLY arrived. Hopefully you get it soon, Bryson ;)  We went for a gorgeous walk to the park and back (holy beautiful day out there today!) and got stuff for dinner ready (made a lasagna and some garlic bread on French bread ) I went through a bunch of Garett's old shoes and clothes and put a load of laundry away.  Washed and sterilized some bottles. Boiled water and made up some more bottles (ah. The never ending cycle ).  Tyler picked up g, they played in the basement for a bit while Keira napped and I tidied up Garett's room for the trillionth time and restocked diapers in the basket in our room and finished cooking dinner.  We ate and pla...

Tuesday unproductive-ness

Image
Well yesterday was quite the depressing day after realizing about the milk. But life goes on. I may or may not have shed a lot of tears to get to that ideology , but hey, I got there haha.  Keira discovered she could get her bum in the air and her knees up under her yesterday. Today she scooted, face down, bum way up in the air on her top toes probably 3 feet across the bed! And now she's not allowed to be unattended anywhere hah I ordered her dress for Santa pictures off of Zulily for some retail therapy also.  Then my boys got home and g brought in my beautiful floral arrangement from tylers cousins shop. There was a sweet little card attached and I cried a little more.  Garett and I headed to the store to stock up on our formula supply. We walked around and bought some random stuff, came home and ordered in some Chinese food for dinner.  I brought g to bed and did his homework and stories with him , then finished my online shopping for ty for Christmas.  Keir...

The thaw

We had a pretty laid back weekend over here , which is nice. Tyler is wrapping up his season of concrete hopefully this week (or maybe early next) , so we are really looking forward to some down time where we will have the energy to do more again, and don't have to say no to everything that comes up because he's working or tired.  Friday night we decided to rearrange the basement a bit. We went through the last of the boxes. Threw a bunch of stuff out , and are setting up an area for the weight bench and kettle bells so we can start our new routine :)  We were all in bed pretty early after some quesadillas I made for dinner and baths.  Saturday Tyler had a quick job to seal in the morning, came home and took g out for a while so I could get ready in peace while Keira napped.  Amber came over around 4:15 to partake in a glass of wine. We were going to cab over to dinner, but Shan surprised us by driving to my place to chat for a bit and brought us over instead ! So sw...
