What's up Wednesday


We discovered last night that Garett loves BBQ ribs. He ate all of his, and some of mine! He ate all of his salad as well, but par for the course, hated the baked potato. 

His new homework books came in the mail last night, so we did a bunch of pages , and read his new story books. Two that I loved when I was little by phoebe Gilman 


Turns out him and I are very similar. He loves the same books I loved :) his love of books is contagious, and I spend too much money nurturing that love lol. Perhaps we should get a library card. Kid has so many books, we are running out of room. He always asks to read a book he's never seen before. Lol

His new watches also came in the mail. He has his Thomas one that he loves, and I found a bunch on sale online, so he got a Spider-Man one, an avengers one and a Cars one (this one came in a tin with interchangable bands!). He chose the avengers one this morning :)


Last night I also managed to get Keira's baptism cake ordered. It's a bakery in barrhaven, but she will deliver for a small fee and we will bring the cake to Cornwall :) I needed to find a bakery here that we liked since my friend that I usually have make cakes has a job now, I feel bad asking her for every event! Lol
Here is what I ordered , minus the ugly blocks and the flower on top ! Just wanted to keep it simple since her dress is very simple and traditional also :) 



This morning we were up early. Keira had an 8.5 hour sleep last night(thanks hunny! ) and woke up at 6 for a bottle and fell asleep after again. Tyler had an early pour this morning, so I took g to daycare with Keira in tow. After we dropped him off, Keira and I headed to Walmart to pick up some stuff. She continued to sleep (she didn't wake when I dressed her, put her in her car seat, etc.). She continued to sleep until after I got everything put away and ate some breakfast ! That's my girl :)

I can't find the outfit online anymore! The headband is a folded lace now from Carters and the shoes are gone off zulily as well. Sorry !


Our afternoon plans consist of finishing season 4 of brothers and sisters , going for our walk, naps and getting dinner ready for the boys (making quesadillas tonight ! Yum).

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
