Weekend craziness
This weekend was jam packed. I'm happy it's over, lol. Things will be more calm until Christmas now , thankfully.
Friday night we switched our trip from Panama to our home resort Dreams Palm Beach in Dominican. The flights alone were over $3k each round trip to panama, so no thanks. Just have to book our taxi transfers from the airport and we are all set :)
We ordered in dinner on Friday night because Tyler only found out later in the day that they couldn't set up for the mini comic con at the EY centre on Saturday morning, so they had to get it all loaded and unloaded that night. He got home around 6.
We just relaxed and cleaned a little bit.
Saturday morning, he worked at that comic con until about 1:30, home for 2. We finished cleaning, wrote out a note for Reeann , left money out for delivery, and got ready. Reeann is Garett's old babysitter , and she brought her older son to play with Garett also. It was a long morning, Garett was so excited for them to get here lol.
Once we were ready , we grabbed an uber and headed to lonestar for Shannon's birthday dinner. There were two tables, and each had a waiter and they were both horrible. Taking random orders, had to get up and get our own stuff, drinks were awful. And they rushed us out as soon as we were done eating without asking about dessert or anything. Not the usual lonestar experience, that's for sure !
We headed over to the bowling alley. And I definitely suck at bowling. There was a Christmas party happening and things were looking grim. I couldn't happily go to the bar because they smelled so bad like BO. Finally that group left and we got to switch lanes, and could hear the music. Things got better and we danced and bowled and had a few drinks :)
We had the lanes until 10, and told Reeann we would be home at 1, so the boys wanted to play pool and we left to go to the Newfie pub, but left and went to karaoke at finnigans. Then they weren't doing it yet and we were getting tired (was midnight now) so we went home a bit early and dropped Shannon off at home with our uber.
Garett was passed out on the couch (he wanted to wait for us and wouldn't go to bed haha) so we carried him up and we all went to bed by 12:30. We all slept until almost 8 on Sunday.
Got up, packed all the bags I needed to pack, got ready in normal clothes, headed out and grabbed timmies breakfast to go and were on the road to Cornwall
Went to my parents for a bit first to play and get ready there. We headed to the church at 3 to get pics done beforehand and the baptism was quick. We were out of there and back at the house in time for the caterer to bring the food by. My parents had ordered veggie and meat lasagnas , salad and garlic bread. It was a feast. Yummy.
The kids played like crazy and then we had cake and packed up the car to head home. We were on the road around 5:45 I think. Both kids slept all the way home. Tyler unloaded the truck and had to leave to make a quick run to pick up the trailer with the truck from comic con. While he was gone, I fed Keira, g had a snack and he opened the gifts while I wrote in the cards. He was s good helper :) we headed upstairs and watched some "Word Party" and ty got home and took Keira while I read bedtime stories to g. Both kids were in bed by 8:30 (we were close to follow by 10). They slept through until 7:30, Keira woke up and ty went to wake up g for daycare.
I'm looking forward to a calmer week :)
-getting all the wrapping done (waiting on three things to come still and have to get my dads still and that's it)
-Keira's 4 month shots tomorrow
-organize Keira's closet
-going to a hockey game on Thursday night with my man while granny comes over to watch the kids.
-supposed to go to my friends birthday Saturday , but I don't think I will make it.
