We had a pretty low key weekend. Friday was mostly just relaxing  tyler and g did some errands and yard work  Keira and I blew bubbles and colored with chalk Saturday the boys left early and Keira and I met them afterwards at my mother in laws for a swim and BBQ and visit We were in bed early. Sunday we emptied out the garage of all the stuff we don't need in there. Next we have to tackle the shelves. They are so disorganized , and I can't handle looking at them anymore. Our neighbour snipped thisboff her plant and gave to Garett to give to me. He was so excited and proud that he got me my own real flower without daddy having to buy it for him lol so cute! The kids played and cuddled Monday Garett was back at Cindy's. He was so excited that he got dressed and brushed his teeth before he came into our room. Today is the last day of Garett's 2.5 week vacation before the weekend. I feel like I have learned so much, and grown so much as a mother over this time. I didn't ask for help, send either kid anywhere, or rely on other people to entertain them. we went out together places I never thought I would take them both at the same time, and we had fun and made some good memories ! I'm sad that my time with g through the day is over, but happy to get him back to a routine and to being able to clean my house, without it being destroyed a second later haha Yesterday was so insanely hot in the sun, I knew I didn't want us out too long. After Keiras morning nap, we loaded up and headed to the mall. First we walked around a bunch of times , so G could ride every ride at least twice. Once he had accomplished that, we went to buy his "first day of school" clothes , as he says, but it was everything I felt he still needed lol. He picked it all himself...

today, I am loving: ...a break in weather. I know we have had a very rainy July, but I don't mind the occasional rainy day to relax, or do inside things. Though we have yet to see any rain from the 20-40mm advisory they were calling for last night LOL ...that yesterday , the kids and I took a "break" from doing something other than play outside or around the house (and Ty took g out for a bit), and had an easy dinner of tater toys and chicken strips , because my soul was tired and I felt beat down. ..:that I felt rejuvenated after my hot bath, an early bed time for the kids, and going to bed myself at 9:15, and sleeping through to 7! ...that we still have a few fun things up our sleeves before g goes back to daycare on Monday ...that when G goes back, one of his best friends will be back at daycare for summer holidays from her school. She will take the place of a little girl whose mommy is Garett's French teacher next year, since she's home with her momm...

And so begins another week. My last week of vacation with both kids until the week in August that daycare is closed again.  Garett had read the 8 books he took out from the library, so after keiras morning nap, we headed out to return them, picked out 11 more, played some computer games and called it another successful library trip.  We walked across the big field to a little lash area and park to play for a while.  When we went home, we had some lunch and Keira took another nap. Garett played and I put away some laundry and tidied up the ensuite. Tyler was home right as Keira was waking up, so we loaded the car, went to get gas and headed to the sports complex early so we could maneuver around with a stroller . Glad we did, since there was hardly anyone around to help direct us! We finally found the pool, got g showered and waited for his lesson to start. The pictures are all in the wrong order, but being that it's Monday , I don't have many cares to give about that , so here goes nothing.  Friday , Tyler picked up Garett early (after Keiras morning nap) and took him to work for a bit. They did some errands afterwards and came home. Shannon and Casey and Rylie came over and we had dinner together and the kids played for a bit before bedtime. They stayed a little after my kids went to bed and we split a few bottles of wine before we called it a night around 9:30? I can't remember that far back, lol  Saturday morning we were up bright and early , around 6:15. We lounged around for a bit and G and I headed to A&W to get breakfast for us and Ty , brought it home to eat. Around noon the boys went over to visit my Mother in law for a few minutes and then came back to load up and went to the tbed yuck and tractor pull. G was in heaven. He certainly likes big trucks ; especially when they blow black ...

Yesterday was another adventure. The kids were very cooperative, so we really just got to enjoy our day!! We started it off with pancakes and fruit, made by Garett (minus the actual cooking part). Soon after breakfast, Keira napped from 9:45-11:20 Once she was up, we got dresssed , did sunscreen since it was so hot out , and headed up to the Library on Orleans Blvd.  Garett was very proud to become an official library card holder! Lol. First we read probably 10 story books, and then he found some other kids and they played hard for about an hour. The little girl in the pics asked him "do you want to be my best friend??" And without hesitation he said "sure!!!" Haha I wish making friends as an adult was so easy haha. The moms were all very nice, but we all also had a baby around a year old with us too, so we were too preoccupied to chat too much about things other than kids.
