Kids of summer

Yesterday was another adventure. The kids were very cooperative, so we really just got to enjoy our day!!

We started it off with pancakes and fruit, made by Garett (minus the actual cooking part).

Soon after breakfast, Keira napped from 9:45-11:20

Once she was up, we got dresssed , did sunscreen since it was so hot out , and headed up to the Library on Orleans Blvd. 

Garett was very proud to become an official library card holder! Lol. First we read probably 10 story books, and then he found some other kids and they played hard for about an hour. The little girl in the pics asked him "do you want to be my best friend??" And without hesitation he said "sure!!!" Haha I wish making friends as an adult was so easy haha. The moms were all very nice, but we all also had a baby around a year old with us too, so we were too preoccupied to chat too much about things other than kids. Keira was the only one walking too, so the others got to visit more than I , who had a second kid to chase around !!

When we got home, we played more and then Keira went for another nap from 2:25:5:20. Once she woke up, I made the dinner of rice and veggies and the orange chicken from the slow cooker the night before.
After dinner, we reapplied sunscreen and spent the rest of the evening playing outside. G wanted to have a popcorn picnic, so I just grabbed a sheet and made some popcorn. Keira played around for a bit, then I brought her in to give her her bath and Garett followed shortly after for his bath. Both kids were in bed early. Garett by 7:20, Keira by 8:15.

Once they were in bed , we watched two episodes of Suits and went to sleep!
