Weekend recap

The pictures are all in the wrong order, but being that it's Monday , I don't have many cares to give about that , so here goes nothing. 

Friday , Tyler picked up Garett early (after Keiras morning nap) and took him to work for a bit. They did some errands afterwards and came home. Shannon and Casey and Rylie came over and we had dinner together and the kids played for a bit before bedtime. They stayed a little after my kids went to bed and we split a few bottles of wine before we called it a night around 9:30? I can't remember that far back, lol 

Saturday morning we were up bright and early , around 6:15. We lounged around for a bit and G and I headed to A&W to get breakfast for us and Ty , brought it home to eat. Around noon the boys went over to visit my Mother in law for a few minutes and then came back to load up and went to the tbed yuck and tractor pull. G was in heaven. He certainly likes big trucks ; especially when they blow black smoke. We facetimed my family afterwards, did baths and put the kids to bed. I watched an episode of wentworth, had a shower and went to sleep also, lol

Sunday the boys went out in the morning to clean the trailer at Tys yard, went for a car wash in the trucks and blow off some steam since Garett was quite energetic. Keira had a nice nap, so I cleaned a bit and got everything packed up and ready. Once the boys came home , we made some subs and then headed to a little medieval festival on old tenth line road. We bought a tub of cotton candy and a bunch of coins in a sack for g so he could play all of the stations. There was jousting , sword fighting, log toss, archery, burlap sack races, tug-o-wars, bubbles and skipping and chalk, etc. it was a good way to burn some energy , but it was so darn hot! So we left after about an hour and headed to the marble slab creamery. G had some magical unicorn ice cream lol, ty had a banana split and I had vanilla with cookie dough chunks. I got vanilla with the intention of sharing with Keira who loved the DQ ice milk, but she almost threw up at this ice cream. Weird haha 

We came home, and Keira refused her second nap since she had such a long one in the middle of the day, so I played with her and the boys worked on daddy's motorcycle (changed signal lights ) , and we made a big batch of nachos with souvlaki chicken , onions,  mozzarella, olives, pico, Guac, and sour cream. After we were all full, the kids had their baths (super quick since it was SO late now :7:30), g made it through two books and fell asleep, and K barely made it into bed she was so tired. Once they were asleep, we both had our showers, ty shaved his head, we watched a few episodes of suits and also went to bed around 10:30. 

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! The weather sure was on our side for the better part of it :) 

One more week off for Garett's vacation, and things will go back to normal!:)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
