Summer holidays daze
I have to tell you, life at home with two kids under 5 is slightly chaotic. Dishes pile up quickly , laundry is virtually impossible to catch up on, my floors have footprints and toys all over them , and Garett sometimes wears mismatched clothes oh well! We are only a week into his 2.5 week vacation, so I'm also trying to keep it fun and burn lots of toddler energy each day.
Yesterday we made some breakfast, lounges around and played for a bit before keiras nap. I got Garett set up with a snack and put Baby Boss on (again) in my room for him to watch while I got Keira down. Once she woke up, we lathered up the sunscreen, got swimsuits on, loaded up sand toys, and headed to McDonald's. We ate inside and Garett ran around the playplace for a while, but it was chaos in there, so I pulled the plug shortly after.
We headed up the road to the big park/splashpad and spent about 1.5 hours there. From the play structure to the swings to the splashpad to the climbers to the sand zone to the splashpad again. Keira played happily in the splashpad , and giggled and clapped her way around. Garett actually ran through things that shoot water at his head and face (usually he would hate this). Good timing since swimming lessons start on Monday !

Once we left the park, we headed into DQ and grabbed a cone to eat in the car it ended up taking longer than that to eat our cones, so we finished them at home, lol

Soon enough , Keira needed her afternoon nap, and I woke her around 5:15
We ordered pizza and wings for dinner , and I threw some of these in the slow cooker for dinner tonight. It was done around 9, so I threw it into a glass dish and put it in the fridge to serve with rice and veggies.

We did baths for the kids, then I took a hot bath and it was bedtime for the kids. Ty and I watched two episodes of Suits and followed suit and went to sleep!
