Coming to a close


Today is the last day of Garett's 2.5 week vacation before the weekend. I feel like I have learned so much, and grown so much as a mother over this time. I didn't ask for help, send either kid anywhere, or rely on other people to entertain them. we went out together places I never thought I would take them both at the same time, and we had fun and made some good memories !

I'm sad that my time with g through the day is over, but happy to get him back to a routine and to being able to clean my house, without it being destroyed a second later haha

Yesterday was so insanely hot in the sun, I knew I didn't want us out too long. After Keiras morning nap, we loaded up and headed to the mall. First we walked around a bunch of times , so G could ride every ride at least twice.

Once he had accomplished that, we went to buy his "first day of school" clothes , as he says, but it was everything I felt he still needed lol. He picked it all himself though from Gymboree, Children's place, sportchek.

After that, he chose Kernels popcorn as his snack, so he got a bubble guppies bucket filled with regular popcorn , and Keira had her own little snack .

We walked around a bit more and then went back to the car. We stopped at a park for 45 minutes on the way home, then came home and made some lunch and relaxed a bit before Keiras second two hour nap of the day. Tyler was home shortly after she woke. The boys worked on the motorcycle more, went for a bike ride and then we bbqd hamburgers and went to bed soon after.

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
