Kids Christmas Lists
Thanks to youtube, Garett has THE most expensive taste for a child I have ever seen. He went through the Chapters Indigo toy book, and nothing he circled was less than $80. So I improvised a little and threw in a couple of his big ticket items he wants, and a few smaller ticket items that I know he will love also.
Here are the bigger things he asked for that he is NOT getting:
Kano Computer Kit: He isn't getting this because he has his own ipad, and there is no point in having this also.
Cosmo Robot: He talked about this Robot for quite some time, but I think $250 is a little much for a toy he will likely not know how to use and get annoyed and put it away in a closet. Also Chapters was the only place I could find it, and they typically hike toy prices like CRAZY.
He also asked for a skateboard, which he is not getting because I know he thinks he can do a bunch of tricks, but he cannot in reality do them and will definitely break an arm or something--maybe next year :)
Here are a few items he asked for that he is getting:
Melissa & Doug Grocery Store : He asked for this, and that was a big YES from me because I would have died for this when I was little. I may be more excited about this gift than ANYONE else in my house.
Against my better judgment, this will be an OUTSIDE only toy, but he has been harassing me for over a year for one of these Rival Nerf Guns
These 2-in-1 training skates. He wanted some inline skates, but I thought this was a good starting point! And they remind me of my childhood--except they are way cooler looking now lol.
Mini sticks and street hockey is a big thing at school on the playground, so I think he will love this NHL Light it Up Street Hockey set to play in the basement or driveway in the nicer weather (or inside the garage if I have my way lol)
Garett LOVES arts and crafts, and one of my friends had this when I was little. It's SO cheap, but it's more about shaping something and painting it and being proud that you did it all by yourself, unsupervised. I think he will love this Junior Pottery Wheel
He saw an add for this Little Tikes Stem Jr. Wonderlab and I would say this is his #1 ask for this year. This kid LOVES anything math and science, and I choose to nurture that love and give him things he can do WITH me or on his own to experiment and learn in a safe and controlled environment.
Tyler's store doesn't have it, and he loves silly games, so I thought the Don't Step in it Game will provide countless giggles for us all. I didn't catch the deal, but it's on sale right now!
He has some meltbeads with a bead sweeper and templates coming also, some Beyblades stuff, paints, etc.
Keira is a wonderful mix of girlie girl, and happy to play with "boy" toys also. She doesn't understand Christmas lists, but I still found a bunch of stuff I know she will LOVE to play with, and ensure that Garett will enjoy playing with it too, so they can play together :)
For her, some of the things she is getting:
She is a Wiggles FANATIC. She also loves playing with hair, so I bought her this Emma Styling Head. Also missed the deal on this one, but this is also on sale right now!
She also loves Garett's scooter SO much, that I thought it would be good to get her her very own Wiggle Emma Scooter--I am starting to get mad about how much I bought that is on sale, that I didn't save money on! My loss is your gain--on sale now!
She has a little princess kitchen now, which I thought was really sweet last year, but the doors are hard to open and there's not much you can do with it, so she is getting the Melissa & Doug Chefs kitchen
With the kitchen, she will get a few Melissa&Doug food sets (which will work well with the grocery store too) and stainless pots and pans.
This Batter up and bowl sports center by V-tech. I imagine they won't get ALOT of use out of this, but I think they will like the bowling portion--ALSO on sale right now UGH
A real floating Barbie Dolphin Magic boat. We never can have enough bath toys, and she loves Barbies too.
A few of the new playdough kits will be replacing old playdough kits that are missing pieces in our home also :) I am excited for them! I still love playdough! She will also receive a few Disney dolls, and a play makeup kit!
What are your kids asking for this year? Have you started your shopping? I am all done aside from a few things for stockings still, and teachers/daycare and my niece/nephew!

I literally just got my kids "big" Christmas gifts just delivered to me...a massive hospital Lego set for Maddy and Paw Patrol Sub Patroller for Tanner...which seems childish but he still really loves Paw Patrol. As for Maddy, she is getting a Christmas of Experiences instead of actual gifts...the joys of getting older!
