Father's Day Weekend

This father's day, we stuck close to home. We didn't visit with any family, but we celebrated Tyler.

Friday I was barely in the office. We had a big demo downtown, and then went back to work just to grab my car and we headed to a funeral (me and a few other people from work). I didn't go back to work after, since we left there around 3:15. I fought traffic to Orleans and went to my lash appointment a little bit early. It was not supposed to be until 5, but I went for about 4:30, and was out shortly after 5. So I went and grabbed our android boxes (even though I didn't feel like it because I had walked around enough in my heels for one day). I headed home, and Shan,  Casey and Rylie were there for dinner and the kids played. I cracked open the spiced rum we bought at the duty free and had a drink or two, after a trying day. They left around 9:00, so Ty and I went in the hot tub and then watched some Game of Thrones.

Saturday, the kids slept in (surprisingly) until almost 8:00. I packed the kids, and we played outside a little bit before it started pouring rain. Once it started raining, we just lounged around and played inside. Keira went for her nap around 1:30 and I woke her up at 4:00. We loaded the car and headed to my mother in laws to drop the kids off for the night.

We had a plan for the night, but the rain ruined it, so we were flying by the seat of our pants lol!

We started out by going to Indigo. We got a drink and walked around for a while. I bought a new non-fiction book about twins that were separated at birth and had completely different upbringings. It's called "My Secret Sister". Tyler found a new series to start, so I bought him the first two, and then he found a section of 3 paperbacks for $10, so I got him those as well.

We headed to East Side Marios for supper ( he wanted carbs lol). I had a mini pitcher of moscato sangria, and Ty had a Caesar. We had salad and soup and bread and pasta (I didn't eat much of my dinner thankfully-it was so heavy).

After that, we headed over to St. Louis bar and grill for some beer and to hang out with Matt and Stephanie, Jason and Jess. After a drink there, we went back to Matt and Stephs house with the other two for some more beer, and then we headed over to Moose Maguires for a Stag of our new neighbours-we met a BUNCH of our neighbours there, which is hilarious, so now we know pretty well the whole street and never have to go into town to be social again! lol

We left there around 12:30AM and took an Uber home. Our neighbours Bill and Donna were there waiting for us. We only had one more drink in the garage before we headed in to each a bunch of food and go to bed.

Sunday morning I was up at 7:30 (I cannot even sleep in if  I try apparently). We tidied up a bit, took showers and headed into town around 9:45 to get the kids. We visited for a bit and Tyler fixed his moms solar blanket straps and we went to Broadways for breakfast. It was the worst experience I have ever had at that location, but in the end, we finally ate around 12:30, and missed the boat on mini putting that Ty wanted to do with the kids. We went home to nap Keira. Tyler napped also, and G and I played in the yard and played some Nintendo.

When everyone was awake around 4:30, they opened the gifts the kids made at daycare and school, and I got Tyler an airfryer.

We ordered Gabriels (beef donair, chicken donair, cheese burger with fries and gravy, small pizza and garlic dip) and split it up into a feast lol.

Kids went into the hot tub with Tyler for 10 minutes (was set to 98) and then came in to shower. We made some fruit bowls for snack and the kids went to bed early.

Tyler and I watched one episode of Game of Thrones and then hit the hay before 9:30 lol
