Christmas Bucket List

Christmas is always a time of year where I just kind of "survive". Things are busy, there's lots to do, lots to catch up on and lots of things to remember. Here are the things I want to do before Christmas:

-Spend an entire evening alone in the garage (or basement), with the heater (or fireplace) on, a movie on the big screen, with a drink in hand, wrapping gifts!

-Remember all of the "special days" at Garett's school for the charity campaign (wear Christmas gear, ugly sweater day, plaid & flannel day, etc).

-Go to the school on December 12 to help decorate gingerbread houses and get happy meals for dinner on the way home.

-Attend a porch sign painting party on Saturday

-Attend a neighbours Christmas party for a while where Tyler and I can wear our ugly Christmas gear

-Find some time to get Santa pictures done with the kids (somewhere different this year I think because I am SICK of waiting in line at Place D'Orleans).

-Introduce the elf on the shelf--I only do it for the week before Christmas because I am HORRIBLE at remembering, but if we don't do it, the kids wonder since all of the other kids at school get visits from their elves. This year, I got Keira her elf (which she has submitted the name "princess" for), with her skirt and boots. Princess and Elfie will no doubt participate in many antics.

-Tibb's eve at our next door neighbours with the kids (December 23)

-Christmas eve as per usual, and hoping to get home early enough this year like last year that we can go in the hot tub after the kids are in bed, then have some hot chocolate and baileys and complete Santa duties!

-Garett's class is having a homework challenge, where everynight there is something on the list and you colour in the days that you complete it. This appeals to my competitive side, so I have been forcing us to do the things, on top of his usual French homework.

-Watch the Christmas movies I love : The Santa Claus, Christmas Vacation, Christmas at the Kranks, I'll be Home for Christmas, and Four Christmases with a multitude of junky snacks.

-Do some baking

-Spend time with my family

-Enjoy my time off work the week of Christmas and some time alone with the kids.
