Game of catch-up

Things have been crazy, as per usual.
-Keira has some type of flu (probably from being stuck in the ER waiting room for so long with all of the sick people at CHEO)
-Garett has a cough, but he is otherwise fine
-On Saturday, we had a wine and cheese party at a friends place, and it was a lot of fun but I paid the price on Sunday.
-On Sunday we lounged around and watched tv and played inside only. Tyler picked up some broadways for breakfast. All was calm. Shan came around 5:30 or so to watch the kids and we headed into town, got some waters and coffee and to the NAC for the Trailer Park Boys Christmas show.
-The show was good, but was getting long by the end and I was happy to leave.
-We got McDonald's on the way home and it was what I had been waiting all day for LOL
-I had booked Monday off because of the late sunday night, and I'm glad I did. I was home with Keira anyways, but I also managed to finish my final research assignment for school and hand that in and also did some stuff in the front hall. I moved the big painting to the basement, and I want to get the front hall prepped for renos. I picked up new ceiling fixtures (which I LOVE) to replace the two ceiling fans, and some 11x17 frames and  some little geometric wall vase things and some succulents to go in them. I just can't wait to lighten up the front hall and it to look clean! It looks perpetually messy with the current set up.
-Christmas shopping is DONE. everything. I am done work people, teachers and ECE's, niece/nephew, my kids, tyler, stockings and the boys and girls club gifts. Now to wrap it all!
-I picked up an elf on the shelf for keira and a little skirt and boots for her elf to wear too. I only do them for a week before Christmas though. There's no way I would be able to do it for the whole month lol.
-This week I am in back to back meetings while I am here. On Thursday I work from home and the afternoon is one team's Christmas party. Friday I am here but I am leaving early to get the kids home and squared away and it's my other teams Christmas party while Ty is setting up for a corporate gig.
-Saturday Ty has another gig, and I have a sign painting party in the evening at our neighbours house.

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
