Here we go again--Monday--round and round and round we go!

This weekend was relaxing but felt VERY long (looking forward to the week so it seemed to go much longer than 2 days lol). Friday night, I went home with the intention of stopping at the grocery store on the way, but my feet were hurting so bad (still havent broken in my new wedges properly) so I just went straight home, put PJ's on, cooked some dinner and caught up on my PVR stuff.

Saturday morning I didn't get to sleep in like I was hoping--Ty was up and getting ready for golf pretty early (to me lol) and I got up to get ready to go to the grocery store--ended up waiting a bit longer since Casey and Shannon were on their way over since the boys decided to golf somewhere closer to our house instead..Off to the grocery store we went to get stuff for the slow cooker meatsauce to put with the spaghetti later for dinner. The boys got back around 4 or so and they proceeded to drink a bit and Shan and I watched some comedy and movies--then it was bedtime!

When we got up, we hung out for a bit before Shan, Casey and Matt headed out--Tyler headed out at the same time to run some of his errands. I stayed home and cleaned up the stuff from the night before and do the last load of laundry (yay, all caught up now!). I took a long shower and put on cozy clothes. I ate some lunch but it was feeling very heavy for some reason, so I laid down and read for an hour or two. Ty came home after a bit and brought me some Mcdonalds (I havent eaten mcdonalds in a very long time so it was a nice treat) --except the fries were like raw, so we didn't eat them (good job, mcdonalds ugh). We lounged around for the rest of the day:) VERY relaxing, slow weekend, that's for sure! lol

I was eager for this morning to come--the faster it comes, the faster tomorrow comes! My mom is coming over tonight to sleep over and tomorrow morning her and I are getting in the car and going to Sound Diagnosis (where I get ultrasounds)--Tyler will meet us there--we are finding out (hopefully) if baby Wood will be a girl or boy! We've have a very cooperative little one one our hands thus far and here's hoping tomorrow is no exception to the rule! I know the ladies there have a bunch of tricks up their sleeves to get the baby to cooperate but I don't want to get my hopes up too much :) I read orange juice (and Amber confirmed this morning from a girl she works with) makes the baby a little more active before an ultrasound, so I'll give that old trick a whirl :) I CAN'T wait!!! Let the decorating and shopping and "name calling" begin :)
My dad can't come because he has a doctors appointment in Brockville--but is stopping in at my place tomorrow night to pick up my mom and I will get to tell him then :)

This weekend is our one year wedding anniversary already--I seriously cannot believe how quickly this year passed--though it was pretty eventful in our lives, I am not surprised it blew by so quickly! My champagne birthday year--literally was the greatest of my life!! Married, new/first home, new car, found out we were expecting our first child, great things for Ty's business, etc, etc--I'm not usually one for superstitions but I believe that the champagne birthday really is a year of luck!! :)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and wish you a quick week ahead! :)

  1. Hope you figured out what you are doing for your one year anniversary? Can;t wait to hear if it's a boy or girl and then to hear some names, thats my fave part!

  2. I still haven't figured out what to do LOL. Tyler has a paintball thing Friday night-Saturday so it would be a Saturday or Sunday night thing--or both I guess--I was thinking maybe just stay close--might just book the suite at the hotel we stayed in on our wedding night for a night or two and do some stuff around Cornwall and area--hit up any fairs, have a nice dinner out or whatnot--I don't feel like spending the money on a Montreal trip right now or just staying home either LOL I guess I'm cutting it pretty close now, eh! haha

I am sure by tomorrow night (considering all goes well at the appointment), the news will be on Facebook, so you'll know even before my next blog post :) hehe We have names picked out for both (Anders for a boy, Calliope (Callie) for a girl) with a few spare names hanging around in case I hold baby and decide they just don't look like an Anders or Callie! lol But it will be nice just to call my belly something other than baby or "it"--so depressing calling your baby "it"!!! :(
