Ok--it's literally disturbing how excited I am to decorate this nursery LOL.
Tomorrow, I am driving into work and after work I need to get a quick oil change (so hubby will stop telling me I am going to "blow the engine" in my car LOL). After that, I am heading out and about to shop for baby!
First things first: I have ordered closet dividers for the little man's clothes since I will have a lot, I needed to get some sort of organization going (hate disorganized closets!). I found these on an etsy site and couldn't resist!
Then, I got to thinking more about the closet. I am planning on taking the closet doors off the tracks, since the doors are white and don't match my theme very well. Inside the closet, I am going to wallpaper a plaid print with my colours. I found this one at Sears that I will be ordering shortly, unless I can find one very similar while I'm out tomorrow night!
With that done, I can go ahead and paint the walls. I have selected a medium saturation teal (kinda bright, kinda deep toned--not sure how to describe it :)) for the walls.
The closet right now is almost the perfect set up for me with the pole along the top and a shelf halfway down in the closet.
There is a second pole under the shelf right now, but I am going to take that out and replace that space with something cooler looking! I will be putting in the bottom half of the closet this set up:

Within the cubby holes, I will put one of these in each hole and label them for the little shoes or socks or whatever we need to put in for extra storage :)

To hang on the walls, I have my wall decal that I purchased off a website from Pinterest that I stumbled upon. I cannot WAIT to get it up. It is fairly large and should take up a good portion of the space above the crib :)

The accent colour on top of the teal is navy, so I will pick up some navy curtains and some chocolate/navy/beige wall art.
I also need to find a rug I like to cover up the floors so they're less slippery on my feet if I go in with socks!
This crib is similar to the one we have picked out (that has a matching dresser/change table thing) except ours is darker--more of an espresso shade of cherry wood.
The last thing I will need to finish the room itself off is my glider :) I have decided I would like a beige or taupe chair, now I just have to find it as most stores around here only carry the usual rocker/gliders. Here is what I am looking for
(but a lighter colour) with the chair and foot stool glider.
Then I can continue on buying more clothes until the shower and then pick up where we left off after that with whatever we don't receive!
Ok, I will stop rambling--I am just obsessed with getting new rooms to decorate, and there is something so amazing about knowing that this is the room my baby will be sleeping in soon enough! I want to make it perfect and fun and cozy and safe for him! :)
Enjoy your Thursday everyone!!!
