So this is it! We're having a baby BOY :)
I went yesterday morning with my mom and Ty and we were there for quite some time--She took measurements of everything--and I mean everything lol--each lobe of his brain, kidneys, hands, feet, legs, arms, skull, bladder, stomach, etc. He was being very active but was cooperating well until it came time to determine if he was a boy or girl--those legs were NOT spreading apart for anything! Finally, we got a good shot and could see perfectly.
Tyler's face just lit right up when she told us and he was pretty proud of himself to be right (again lol). I was in a bit of shock since I had assume this whole time it was a girl, but it's ok! :) I am glad I didn't wait until the delivery room to find out being that convinced it was a girl lol.
Afterwards, I got my pictures and headed out to lunch at Perkins with my momma :) After lunch, we headed out to St. Laurent to Sears and Babies R Us to look around, then headed to Orleans to Bonnie Toggs (family favourite for baby clothes lol). I bought a couple outfits and some bibs for a boy and went home, put them in a box with the ultrasound pic on top of the clothes and we waited for my dad and sister to get there to pick up my mom. When they got there, I told them the answer was in the box :)
My dad opened it, saw the picture and moved it aside to see a onesie that says "Grandpa's Little Helper" with a picture of a wrench on it--his face lit up all smiles too (likely equally as shocked as me since he also believed it was a girl lol). We are so thrilled to be welcoming a baby boy into the family as it's a first for us--he'll be daddy's little guy I think from the sounds of it--taking him fishing and learning to golf and ride 4 wheelers and all that fun stuff--I'll be lucky if I get to do anything with him!! LOL.
After the exciting news, they all headed out and Ty and I ordered in some dinner to celebrate and started watching LOST again to kill some time :)
We decided we should have some back up names just in case Anders doesn't "look" like an Anders. We came up with Keegan and Sawyer as backups--we will decide once we hold him and look at his sweet little face for real ! :)
We made the announcement on Facebook last night and this morning, Auntie Amber and Angie had bought him a little present already :) Angie delivered it with the cute little card and I opened it to find the sweetest little blue onesie jumper, with mittens, a bib and a little hat--all blue with a Tigger on it. SO cute :)
Shortly after, another lady at work came in with a gigantic bag full of little boy clothes! She has two little boys and they don't need it anymore--so she said to go through it and get rid of whatever we don't need or want :)
Then another girl, that just came back from mat leave, sends me an email with a list of baby stuff she has that she said I can have if we want it! I will wait until we finish our shopping and showers and see what is left or if any of the grandparents want anything of their own at their houses :)
Everyone is being so generous and thoughtful, I can't believe it!
This weekend, I will be going out to buy paint for the nursery (eeee!!!) and some more clothes probably LOL..and I need to stop in and buy some baby detergent and baby clothes hangers and look at closet organizers, since I want to get that done too. I am thinking of wall papering the inside of the closet just to add a little something--I may even take the closet doors off the tracks to use it more as a nook and a design aspect to the room--a punch of design with the wallpaper :) I am SO excited to decorate lol...sorry...I'm giddy thinking about it lol
Happy Hump Day everyone! Only 2 more days left until the weekend after today :D
Top layer of the wedding cake is thawing out in the fridge ready for us to eat--let's see if it holds up as well as the cake maker told us it would :) mmmmm Red Velvet!
