Almost there

What a thunderstormy kind of day! I normally really like these days when I'm home, but Garett does NOT. It's hard to get the house to look like natural lighting and I think he feels like it is night time always on days like this and he doesn't want to play or anything. Oh well! One day in the last I don't know how long is ok with me! The car needs a good wash:) lol

Yesterday was a low key day. Ty was done work and shopping for a few things he wanted and was home early. We were both tired, so I made a nice dinner. I did up an Alfredo sauce I found a recipe for--YUM. Next time I would put more on the pasta (like double the recipe lol) but it was still good:), added a bit of broccoli, and I had marinaded some steaks in a garlic/cracked black pepper marinade I wanted to try and broiled them up so we didn't have to BBQ. Mmmm I want to eat more of this now lol


Garett has been so funny these last few days, like a little man. He is just talking away, crawling, climbing, standing, laying back when he's tired all by himself--it's hilarious and endearing to watch him grow into his own little self :) Ty and I were talking last night that he seems so much older than 7 months (almost)! 


I am DEEP into One Tree Hill again. Every once in a while I get the urge to rematch the show, and I started last week and am almost halfway through season 2 now---I miss a lot of it because its mostly background noise but when I do catch a solid episode when Garett naps I'm in love again. 

I may or may mot ordered a few items of clothing and accessories to go to montreal :) lol 

Since today is rainy, I think we will have a folding party and play in the piles of clean clothes :)

Tomorrow I have a dress fitting/hopefully bringing my dress home for Doll's wedding. I'm excited to see it again and for it to fit. My dad is coming with me, so it'll be nice for him to see it on in person since they are watching the man that night. Ty has a birthday party for his uncle to pop into tomorrow night for a bit, so it will be a quiet night in!

Saturday Ty is in a golf tournament in Cornwall, so we are heading up for the day to visit :) 

Sunday, Ty was supposed to have a paintball game, but he's decided to spend the day with us instead. :) We may pop over to a BBQ his aunt and uncle are having, but he hasn't said much about going, so we may just drive around and have a day to ourselves as a family unit !

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
