What a weekend (recap)!

I am so sad this weekend is over, yet big time relieved it is over and went off without a hitch !!

Friday night I made my taco dip and hamball (taco dip never got touched so we snacked on that last night lol) and finished cleaning and getting the house decorated and ready to party like its 2013!


My family was very limited at this cousins weekend (only one cousin and her husband came) but they had a blast and I got to know a few of Ty's cousins we don't see very often a lot better. Love it! 

Volleyball dominated much of the afternoon...

And we managed to raise $252 on a 50/50 for uncle Vince's treatment (cousin Melissa won and gave all the money back). 

We got a group photo (missing a few people)...and pardon the bare bottom lol. 

Things slowed down and the guitars came out and cousin Sal and I built a fire :)

I didn't take any pictures aside from the decorations so those last ones are taken from Facebook :)

Everyone was in bed or gone by 4:30! Late night but so worth it!

We woke up pretty early the next day, said bye to a few more people and then Ty cooked a big breakfast for everyone that was still there.

I LoVe hosting these things and having a house full of family. It was such a pleasure to see everyone smiling and having fun. I can't wait for next year :)

The rest of Sunday we cuddled with out boy, ate, watched some TV, took baths, etc. it was so nice to relax after a busy Saturday!!

Today, Garett and I went for a ride to the shoppers and grabbed some things and played. He's on an off napping today, which I appreciate :)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
