Thank god it's Monday !

I don't know about you all, but I am happy to see this Monday come! Didn't do much this weekend but it seemed hectic ! Probably because I was playing Lone Ranger parent a lot of the weekend lol

Thursday Ty was home pretty early! he brought Garett a present--a real Marvel Hulk guitar. the box says 4+, but we will open it around 2 yrs to get a head start. i think it's killing ty not to open it and play with it himself haha


later that night we bought Django Unchained on the Apple TV and all relaxed. I'm surprised I liked this movie so much--I usually don't like things with gore, but the story was just so good!!

Friday night Ty had a party to go to for his uncles birthday, and since it only started later in the evening (like I'm talking after Garett's bedtime lol), he went ahead and stayed the night. 

During the day I had a dress fitting/got to take my dress home for my sister in law/ one of my bestest's wedding. My dad came to town and took myself and Garett to the store and watched the boy while I did my thing. Then we headed out to lunch together at Swiss chalet (of course!) and Ty showed up to surprise us once he found out where we were! That was nice :) lunch with my 3 men! Afterwards, he went back to work and we headed home. 

Saturday we were up early getting ready to head to Cornwall. Since Ty was in a golf tournament all day and late into the evening (9pm lol), I hung out with my family :) Garett was just about past the point of no return for sleep and Ty came back. So we loaded up and headed home. Garett slept all the way home and didn't even wake up in the transfer to the crib. He slept until 7:20 the next morning lolol 

Sunday I had claimed the morning to myself since I was exhausted. So Ty took Garett to play in the basement and I decided to use my time to....make 3 weeks Of baby food. Holy god, it took 2.5 hours lol. I made white potato , asparagus, peach, green bean, and carrot. Done and done! Phew! Afterwards, I took a nice long soak and then gave myself an at home pedi and mani! I was just about to look at my flyers when I decided I wanted to hold Garett instead lol. 

Yesterday, he started his 4 days of oatmeal porridge so we can mix things he's already eaten with it later :) he seems to like the texture of it. And we gave him his first sips of water in a sippy cup yesterday--which he loves! Water AND sippy cups lol I figured with how paste like that oatmeal is he may want water lol and we waited a bit longer than the 6 month minimum to avoid all those scary things plain water can cause!

Last night, we decided to order in and relax to a lethal weapon marathon. Garett was in bed by 8:30 and we watched the new Keeping up with the Kardashians  episode before we passed out!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
