Long weekend recap!

This weekend went by pretty quick, but we accomplished a lot!

Friday was really low key--stayed home and put mounds of laundry away! So when Ty got home, I handed the baby over and settled in for a bath with my new bath caddy :) in hand was a glass of white wine, my new Cosmo and a new candle, and LOtS of bubbles...ahhhhh, heaven.

Then Ty comes in and says "oh yah, we're going to Swiss chalet for dinner"...which didn't bother me because I was done in the bath by then and getting hungry lol.

Off to Swiss chalet to meet the in laws :) the company was great, but the food was so undercooked (I had pasta) and Garett was not enjoying being woken up to be there, so we were happy to get home!! We went to bed pretty soon after getting home!

Saturday we were up bright and early! We poked around the house a bit before I headed out to pick up dolly and Shannon for the bridesmaid dress fitting--I can't wait to see it on the 24th when it fits properly !:) then we headed out to a lunch at a Royal Oak and off went Shannon after that. Doll and I headed to st Laurent after to hit up bath and body works for my yearly run lol. The website said there was a big sale but I guess it was American-- however, there were plenty of sales nonetheless!! $82 I walked away with a ton of hand soaps, 3 kinds of aromatherapy oil/foam baths and 3 3wick candles! Success.

That night I was planning on relaxing, but the cleaning bug kicked in again, so I cleaned up the kitchen and made 2 weeks of baby food in the baby bullet (apples and sweet potatoes) before cuddling up on the couch to watch Definitely, Maybe and eat some takeout after Garett went to bed :)

Sunday we were up early again and off to Cornwall for a visit with family--Ty got in a round of golf and then we were off, on the road again, heading home! 

When we got home, Ty surprised me by running me a bath with my new anti-stress aromatherapy bath foam, poured me a Palm Bay on ice, lit one of my new candles and took Garett. I was pretty happy. Afterwards, I ran him a Bath to be nice lol. 

Once we were done, Garett was down for the count and we indulged in some Shark Week shows-- until I brought up that I was going to sleep in Garett's room because we didn't have time to lower the crib since he decided to golf that day-- well...out came the playpen. Tyler thought he could sleep in there for the night and then lower the crib in the morning. Guess what? Playpens are not beds and he only slept for about 10 minutes before he was so uncomfortable he woke up howling. So, out came the tools and down to the bottom level went the crib lolol. We all slept well when we got to bed at 11:30. 

This morning, we were up around 8 and played eight the baby for a while (which he full on crawls--and FAST now. He managed to squirt my pump of body lotion I keep in the living room before I could catch him...oh lord. 

Ty had a few guys help him take our table to the basement for us to set up later (I have it paced now and it actually looks really good down there!) and bring in our other table to the kitchen. Things look a lot more open now and I an thrilled :)

Shortly after, they headed out for a round of golf. Today is a cuddle day for me and my boy:)

While we cuddle, there are a few people doing lettering on Ty's trailer for work (truck and van are getting done soon too ) and it looks so good!

Garett finished his last of avocado today and he really loved it today-- poor guy-- switching on him again tomorrow--apples next:)

A very bus few days coming up, finishing organizing and cleaning the house, getting Garett ready for his sleepover in Saturday, getting the trays ordered and rest if the food and drink together for Saturday and get decorated ! I can't wait, but I also can't wait for it to be over-- it is so much work and money to get day for things like his!

Today, after 4 days of trying, FINALLY managed to get a reservation in Montreal at chuck Hughes restaurant Garde Manger. I am so so SO excited :) it'll be the first thing we do after checking into the hotel on the 31st!! Woot!

Not much else happening here today until Ty gets home for dinner:) hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend!!
