Friday!

I am so tired, and can't wait for this weekend to begin! (not to wish it away, but this momma needs a break and to refuel on energy!)

Since I had yesterday off at the gym, Tyler picked up Garett while I stayed in town to do some groceries. We needed some fresh fruit and veggies pretty badly, and the staples (milk, eggs, egg white beaters, bread, etc). I managed to get home around 5, got the fridge cleaned out and unpacked the groceries (thanks to my strong husband and son for bringing in the groceries from the car ) :)

We decided we were too tired to get dressed and go out for dinner for our anniversary (laziness for the win), so we ordered in some Chinese food (bumped my cheat meal up a night), and watched the first two episodes of "Sing it Off" on Netflix. We each took a bath and tried to relax a bit.

It was bedtime before we knew it, and I had accomplished nothing around the house, which I hate--feels like a wasted night. But I guess the perks of it being your anniversary is that no one has to do anything :) No cooking, cleaning or stressing allowed!

After Garett went to bed slightly before 9, we watched an episode of Parks and Rec and we made it 5 minutes into the next one and were both falling asleep, so we went to bed! Look at this exciting old married couple!

Tonight I have a weight training class at 5, and then home to cook up some dinner, and get a start on organizing the house.

ONE thing from my big home décor order came in yesterday, and if I don't get the rest today before the weekend, I'm going to flip out and cry lol. I ordered it a week ago , and generally the stuff comes within 2-3 days! I don't know what's up. So annoyed.

Saturday we are just relaxing around the house, I will make my pie for Sunday that night.

Sunday we have a priest coming over to bless the house, and my parents are visiting as well, so a big delicious dinner. We are going as a family into town in the morning to get the steaks from the slaughter house and to the seafood market to get the lobsters. I still have to find those little butter melting/dipping pots. I could use my smaller ceramic fondue and separate little bowls, but I don't like the idea of transferring hot butter from dish to dish lol.

Monday will be yard work and meal prep for the following week!

I am looking forward to all of the downtime and a little bit of entertaining! It's a great blend for a long weekend :) And the weather looks to be fantastic!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday, and welcome to the last long weekend of the summer!
