33 before 33 update

-Travel to a country I have not yet been to- I've been to the US briefly before, but in June we will go for a concert and another in October, so will officially christen my first overnight USA visit.
- Change my name to "Wood", officially
- renovate the basement bathroom
- Have a date day with each of the children individually Haven't had a Keira day, but have had a Garett day !
- Host a neighbourhood BBQ Planned for long weekend in August
- Get all of my pictures printed and sorted
- Update the kids baby journal books (I haven't written in them since I gave birth to Keira).Wrote in Keira's, but haven't updated Garett's yet.
- Decide if I should upgrade my lease at Ford, buy out my lease, or buy a new brand Think I will buy-I have my eye on a few different vehicles (not Ford). I have 16 more months left on my lease though, so I think I was a bit premature with this one.
- Go on a nature walk for an entire afternoon (kid free), and just take in the scenery Have not done this kid free, but have taken the kids on a lot of long walks through paths/wilderness which they love
- Find my inner Zen, learn to cope with stress better, be more relaxedStarted doing this by phasing things that cause stress out of my life. For example, I no longer listen to the radio or watch the news. I rely solely on the breaking news pages I follow, and I don't click on it if it looks like something that will cause stress (child neglect/abuse, murders, etc). I only listen to music in the car that brings me joy. Also, before I get upset at the kids for things, I take a moment to reflect on their age, if I think it's severe enough for discipline, etc--I don't raise my voice at my children very often.
- Go on a wine country tour
- Go to a Hanson: String Theory concert on their next round - This is the concert Tyler bought me tickets for for Christmas. We go to Buffalo in June :)
- Start regularly bringing my own reusable grocery bags, shopping
- Get a quote for invisilign braces for my bottom teeth
- Plant a garden and grow some of my own produce Building a garden bed soon-we need to plant on the long weekend.
- Only buy clothes on a preplanned schedule (or from frock box) to cut down on random clothing purchases, and only keep items in my wardrobe I LOVE. Make a more grown up wardrobe. Even my work clothes, I feel like a bum lol
- Pack my lunches everyday, except for special days Doing ok with this one now that I'm on keto.
- Take the kids on an adventure
- Take a train ride or flight to a random place and taxi around everywhere
- Finish Christmas shopping by December 1 - I finished on November 3!
- Take Garett to another cooking class - Done. Took both kids to a "Movie Night" themed cooking class on November 18
- Take a "different" kind of fitness class - Went to a Puppy Yoga class with Shan on November 24
- Find a new family doctor, since mine is retiring next year
- Make a monthly donation, either items or financial,to a charity I do this, but to GoFundMe pages I find that I like.
- Play tourist in our own town- go to the most instagram worthy places
- Go on a Kingston Pen tour
- Try to do bi-monthly date days (instead of monthly), like we used to do We haven't had much chance to get out every month or other month alone. But we lots together with the kids. Now that the nice weather is here, we have more on the docket--but as far as romantic dates goes, we have failed this one already.
- Take another Carleton course in the Summer Term and do even better than the B+ I received in the last one None of the courses I needed are available for the May summer term. Going to look again when the courses for late summer term are released.
- Fill weekends with "yes's" to bazaars, markets, fairs, festivals, etc in the summer. Keira will be older and more flexible nap-wise.Sister still LOVES her naps, and sticks to her schedule rigidly. However, I already have a lot planned this summer, and am super excited!
- Do a wellness weekend with Tyler - Gaia Wellness retreats, or a spa retreat
- Attend a girls weekend somewhere fun! Maybe a road trip to Casino Rama?We did a winter edition in March, which was a lot of fun. Going to need a summer edition soon :)
- Win something (totally outside of my control, but even if it's a small scratch ticket winning, I'll take it! I never win anything! lol)- Won a Christmas raffle basket from Garett's school!
- Pet an animal I have never touched-Took the kids to Vanderlaand Barnyard Zoo in November to drop off our old pumpkins for the animals, and touched a llama and an Emu. I've been too scared of them to touch them before. And still scared so probably won't do it again lol
