Finally, a weekend that didn't fly by so fast I hardly knew it happened! I had a nice long-feeling weekend! Friday after work, I bussed to my car at Blair and headed right on over to our friend's Rod and Sharon's house for dinner. She was trying a new greek Moussaka recipe and invited us over for dinner. I met Ty over there--he brought some wine and Marsala (I think that's how it's spelled)--a traditional Greek appertif and some cigars. We went with the intention of having a nice catch-up session but had alterior motive as well :) We wanted to ask them to be our little man's God parents--so after dinner and some visiting we popped the question. After some tears from Sharon and hugs all around they said yes--though Rod says he had a dream about it just the night before and had a feeling we were going to ask them LOL..so odd! We figured, who better to ask then our best friends in Ottawa, and our travel buddies! There was no doubt in our minds that we should ask them--though they are not the legal guardians, they will play a huge role in his life :)I want to say congratulations to the little man now for being so blessed and lucky!! Shortly after, Alex (their sons girlfriend) brought over their new baby (who is now 2 months, 2 weeks old), Marcus. He is just the cutest little thing in the world!! Sitting up on his own already and nothing but smiles and hilarious facial expressions. He is definitely a little Williams baby and is such a little treat to be around! We headed home probably around 11:30 that night after some celebration and guitar playing and went right to bed! The next morning I woke up early to finish off a load of laundry and start getting ready. We headed to Cornwall around 9--stopping on the way out of town at the post office--and met my sister and brother in law at my parents house. We headed out almost right away to do our maternity pictures (pics on the way for you guys) and from the looks of the pictures he sent me already, we have some really great shots :) I am so happy we got some fall pictures outside and can look back on them forever! After that we headed back to my parents and the boys took off for the rest of the day to play 18 holes and us girls literally sat around and visited the entire time lol. Once they were done, we all met up at East Side Marios for supper. We went back to the house for about 20 minutes and headed home. We were so tired from hardly any sleep from the night before and a dark hour long drive ahead of us that we went to bed almost as soon as we walked in the door (around 9 lol). Sunday morning we were up bright and early (around 7). At 8:30 we decided to head out and get to town and grab some breakfast. We were going to go to Perkins but when we got there the parking lot was FULL so we went across the street to Piper's Diner. Let me tell you--this place looks like garbage from the outside (used to be called Rockin' Johnny's Diner) but was so nice inside, the staff was super friendly, the breakfast was way cheaper than across the street and was DELICIOUS. I think we found our new "place". mmm. After that, we headed over to Babies R Us since they open an hour before the rest of the mall and went nuts adding about 100 more things to our registry there--by we, I mean Tyler LOL. It was so cute seeing him whipping around the aisles picking and choosing things and reading the specs of things to find out which one looked like the best, playing with toys to hear the sounds and feel the textures--too cute. We finished there in about an hour and headed over to Sears where we just had to register for our stroller, carseats, high chairs and another playpen--all of 15 minutes and we headed out. We went over to Best Buy as we are in the market for a bigger tv--we had one all picked out..and you think in a non-commission based company we could get ANY service??? NOPE. We waited about 30 minutes to even be acknowledged, and we weren't even glanced at by the ONE guy running the whole department so we decided they don't get our business. Tyler grabbed Medal of Honour (a new game) and we left. Future Shop will continue to get all of our business I guess! But at this point Ty was now eager to get home and try his new game so we went home instead. We'll go to Future Shop whenever we get another chance :) Sunday night was spent relaxing! I took a nice long warm bath with a hot chocolate, put on my pjs and went to catch up on some PVR stuff. I cooked some ribs, baked potatoes and corn that we had a small nibble on but neither of us were too hungry so that will be dinner tonight I guess! Then we curled up in bed and watched some breaking bad before walking dead came on...I forgot that it's on at 9 on our tv, so we tried tuning into the 10:00 show--neither of us made it remotely through, we fell asleep--so that'll be ready to watch on the PVR tonight I guess! This morning I woke up wide awake 10 minutes before my alarm went off--which is fantastic--means I got a nice solid sleep! SO refreshing. Ty is picking me up from work at 1:30 today and we are off to get our Hep A follow-up shots. I do need to grab some groceries on the way home but definitely looking forward to another relaxing night. We have a crazy jam packed weekend ahead and I am going to sneak in all the pj time I can while I can!! lol Work seems pretty slow today--but such is life when we are quickly approaching winter/christmas season. Things always slow down so much here! I guess this is just how it'll be until I leave now! Gives me lots of time to update all my stuff and pack up slowly! Only 37 more working days! Hope you all had a great weekend and have an even better Monday! Bring on the week!!
