Weekend recap to start I guess! :) On Friday I got home and Tyler had his friend Gibby over--they had already ordered pizza, wings and poutine (I ate most of the poutine LOL) and they sat down for a long night of video games. An online game they had both been playing for almost 10 years was shutting down for good at 3AM. They took some breaks and we watched a scary movie and some tv and then they hunkered down (lol). I guess nothing crazy happened at the end, it just disconnected them (how annoying to stay up to see what happens and it's THAT anti-climactic! ). Gibby left very shortly after and Ty came up to bed. I was up again watching some tv (I slept from about 10-2 then couldn't fall back asleep until about 4). Saturday morning we were up pretty early. I did a few dishes and started getting ready. We left the house around 12 and went to wash Ty's tow truck at the car wash thing in Embrun. Then we headed into town and ate at Broadways (mmmm pancakes and their garlic home fries. Then we headed over to Rod and Sharon's for a quick visit to kill some time in between. Sharon was a little behind us getting there because she was out shopping with Alex and Marcus--so they came in for a bit and shortly after we headed out to Winchester. Ty was driving the float for Adessa in the Parade of Lights. It was quite a process to get the float ready to go! Then they had a big bbq with burgs and hot dogs and hot chocolate and it was almost time to go by that time, so we got in order and headed out! The parade was so long --there were SO many floats and a ton of people came out even though it was freezing! We were all torn down and home by around 10pm and went almost right to bed! lol Sunday was a cleaning day for us--I gave the dining room a real thorough cleaning (all the baseboards, railing rungs, crown moulding, etc) and we assembled the highchair--SO early for this, but I would rather have it out and ready then sitting in the box not assembled--just in case it was missing any pieces or anything like that and we wouldnt be able to return it. Better more prepared then unprepared too! lol. Then caught up on my Mob Wives on PVR and started supper and made some cinnamon rolls :) We were feeling pretty lazy so after dinner we just hung out together and then decided to watch some tv in bed. I had some gourmet hot chocolate I've been wanting to try so I made some of that with whipped cream on top and then some cinnamon, sugar and chocolate shavings on top--SO yummy! Ty rubbed my back and I think I was asleep by like 9:30 lol. (maybe earlier haha). This morning I looked outside when I woke up and my car looked like it was covered in ice, so I rushed to get ready to get out there and start it up and get to scraping---turns out it was just water LOL..rushed for no reason!! hehe. I just have to get through 3 more Mondays! (and this one's almost done--so 2 more, really!). This week is going to be pretty crazy after work! I have to do groceries on Wednesday and then thursday and friday I plan on doing some Christmas shopping. Saturday I have a mani/pedi booked for 11:30 at the spa my cousin works at in Kanata (HUGE drive for me) and then I think we're planning on a nice dinner out and maybe go see the last Twilight movie together (Ty and I..not me and my cousin lol):) Sunday hopefully finish Christmas shopping LOL...let's see how much Christmas shopping I can handle in this short amount of time--I may be doing some last minute stuff even for lack of tolerance haha.
