Another First for my little family...
I won't bore you with the details of my day yesterday since it was very uneventful! But when Ty came home, I did force him to open another gift (he hates opening gifts early, but I love it because I am too excited to wait lol). So we're saving his big gift for actual Father's Day (that was the compromise) and he opened my homemade, with love gift :)
Here's what unfolded!
12 Month of preplanned dates! Each to be opened (I sealed them so he couldn't peek) on the first of each month. There was a verbal "no excuses" clause. We MUST put this time aside for just us each and every month to do fun things together. A lot of the things are things we have talked about doing for a long time and never get around to, so I can't wait for the rest of the dates!!! It's so easy for time to just fly by now with the baby, plans with friends, family, etc. But you sometimes forget that a marriage also takes work. This time together is crucial :) (P.S I can't take the credit for the idea since I stole it from Pinterest, but I did plan each date without Pinterest's aide :))
So, after he opened the gift (which he loved by the way, thank god lol), he ripped open the June envelope pretty enthusiastically (can you tell by the way it's ripped wide open LOL). He pulled out the instructions and info for the date. This month, we have to go to the Star Wars Identity Exhibition at the Aviation Museum (which hosts original props and costumes from the movies!), followed by a lunch at The Works in our old neighbourhood of Manor Park! His first question was "When is the soonest we can do this?", so since we're pretty packed up this weekend, and next Saturday, we decided next Sunday would probably be best! So stay tuned for a review of our June date :)

Father`s Day being celebrated in this home is another first. I am so excited about all these new experiences!!
I also finally got my delivery from Amazon.ca yesterday with a few more toys for Garett. They took so long because I always choose the option to ship all items in one shipment instead of getting them all as soon as they come available. Anyways, here is a picture of Garett enjoying his new toys :) (pardon the partial nudity, he was borderline fever for a while yesterday and did NOT want to be in clothes)
So he got a Lamaze Peek-a-boo book (which you see him chewing on), A Lamaze fish bowl (each of the little toys comes out and makes a different sound), a Lamaze touch and feel texture fish and a Lamaze sights and sounds turkey! (I apparently went on a Lamaze kick--last round of toys was all Baby Einstein lol). Anyways, he loves them ALL but especially loves the little squeaky clam in the fishbowl!
But enough about baby toys to those that don't care...lol
This weekend is my sister in laws stag and doe :) I am so excited! My folks are getting Garett for the night so we don't have to worry about being out late, which leaves a bit of time Saturday during the day to get ready and catch up on some housework! The bridal party is going country for this, so it's jean skirts and cowboy boots! I`m excited to see everyone again, have a good time with friends and family and get some moolah for one of my fav ladies (for a good cause of course! :)) Stay tuned for pics and updates on that as well!
It has become a reality to my life I have recently found out that I CANNOT watch a Baby Story on TLC. I can make it through the entire episode until the baby is born, then I lose my mind crying everytime the baby is born like it`s my own all over again lol...cross that show off my `to watch` list I guess :(
Anyways, another random post comes to a close! I hope everyone has a good Thursday, the end is in sight! :)
