Things are about to change.

Life is moving too fast. Garett may be 5 months old, but I am having trouble "living for today". In my head, I picture him all grown up. He doesn't feel like a baby so much as a toddler to me now and I already feel the itch for another some days, which is not good lol (for now at least). 

Garett starts sleeping in his crib tonight :( I don't know where I heard that babies should be in their bassinet until 6 months, but I choose to go with that because I love having him right beside my bed, but apparently babies should only be in their bassinet for 3-4 months max, until they sleep through the night, are 10-15 lbs, or can roll over on their own. Now that G is starting to sit up, it just feels unsafe, plus, from the queues I read about, he has been crib ready for a while now :( SO happy I got a comfy chair that reclines in there because I feel I may be sleeping in it for a few nights while "I" transition hahah. Is it bad that this is harder on me than the baby? Hahah

I think we are moving the office into the spare room upstairs (Ty ordered a beautiful new desk--that's what struck up this convo) and I will move mine up (well Tyler will lol) and the bedroom stuff will go down. The bedroom in the basement will now be the guest room. It's easier this way so that when Ty has lots of work to do, he can still be upstairs with us and helping with the baby :) This means shopping ! Lol I will need a new rug for upstairs and some new bedding for the bed in the basement to match those walls and new decor down there !:). 

Ty opened our July date envelope last night. We agreed on July 14 for our date, so stay tuned for that post :) It's one of the less eventful dates of the year, but we are still pretty excited!

We have been having a lot of issues with parcel delivery people not knocking or ringing the bell when trying to deliver a package that has duties due on delivery. I always get to the door when they knock or ring the bell, so they should know us by now since we order online enough. I have all the stickers on the door where I registered so they can leave packages on the step, but a lot of the time there is more money due on delivery and they can't leave these ones. It's annoying because if we miss it, they bring it to the depot in Ottawa and then Ty has to go get his stuff there, and we all know he's busy enough as it is! Sighs

this weather makes me want to do "spring" cleaning!! I have a huge desire to pull out all the appliances and move furniture out to clean under everything. My biggest fear? Spiders losing their home and coming out into the open haha. With all the rain we have been getting, I have seen more spiders than I am happy with. Why stir the pot? Lol

I think I will organize my closet today. Things have been getting mishmashed in there, when I usually organize by colour and sleeve length. It makes it harder when everything is mixed up. When I go somewhere (like when I am working or need to go out) I plan what to wear in my head in the morning before I get up. It makes it easy when you know right away where to go to look for things...and when I'm working it helps because I can grab the clothespin the dark if Ty is sleeping just by feeling the material, knowing where a certain colour on the rack is, etc. feeling a bit OCD today.

I ordered three pairs of new winter boots because the sales are insane on them in this weather. One pair came already (love them!) and the other two should be here today :) I will be ready for winter and throw out all my old boots that are no good for anything! Next up:  a really good winter coat. I want a Canada Goose one :) I refuse to have any days that I'm just too cold for life waiting for the bus or being out scraping the car in the morning. (Can you tell how little I am looking forward to going back to work in the middle of winter? Lol)

157 days until Cancun! Lol....it's funny how time feels like it is flying by with Garett but the countdown to our trip never seems to budge. I won't wish it away though because he will be getting so big by then and my back to work date will be quickly approaching by then! Lol (wow, from talking about winter to talking about tropics...my brain is not working well).

 I am addicted to the shows Dinner Party Wars and Come Dine With me Canada. I want to go on one!! I just don't like that the Canadian version doesn't allow spouses on the show, so it makes it a bit less desirable.

Well that was another random post! Off to tend to the babes and start my purge/clean :) happy hump day!!
