Whirlwind weekend...
This was a pretty crazy weekend for us, so I'm not surprised it flew right by!
Friday after Ty got home from work, we just relaxed watching some tv with some good eats and headed to bed at a pretty decent hour since he had to get up early on Saturday and do some work on some job sites before coming home. My folks came and picked up Garett for the night, so we decided after they left to head into town to grab lunch. We decided to hit up a newer place in Orleans called Mucho Burrito. O-M-GOD. This place is amazing. It's the mexican version of subway--so you order your food (Ty started with some shredded beef tacos and went back up for a HUGE burrito after, and I got a salad bowl with chicken which was ahhhh-mazzzinngg. Seriously people, go eat here. The ingredients are so fresh. Mind: blown
After we ate our lunch, we decided to go hit a bucket of balls at the driving range. We were pretty sore after hitting all those balls so we headed home to a quick nap (heaven) before starting to get ready for the stag!
We headed in later with the happy couple and arrived around 9 (they came up around 9:15). It was a great time catching up with people, seeing the girls again, raising some money and dancing the night away! We had a great time, and the best part is they made some moolah!
Here's a pic of the girls:
We were feeling pretty sleepy on Sunday, since it was pretty late before we got to bed and we're just not used to that anymore. But we were missing Garett, so we packed up around 11:30 and headed to Cornwall to have a bit of Father's day dinner, open gifts, play and head home! We had some toast (since we had a late lunch/early dinner at my parents) and watched the beginning of this movie "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt" that was on tv. I kept randomly falling asleep but Ty was watching intently until the power went out with 10 minutes left of the movie lol. We got the tail end of a pretty bad storm it seemed--crazy lightning and thunder--didn't hear any rain though and it wasn't that windy out. But the power went off and on like 6 times in the matter of 20 minutes the storm lasted for. It also screwed up my PVR Recordings GRR!! lol
Today I ordered some supplies on line (plates, cutlery, a few decorations), since we decided to have a small bbq get together for Canada day. We haven't been enjoying the back deck much this year with all the rain so we figured we would try to throw something together , even though it's last minute and obviously people probably already have plans, but we wanted something low key so we could keep Garett and stay home lol.
Garett is playing away on his belly, so I think I will go join him :) I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and Monday is treating you well :)

I LOVE that picture of you and Ty! Got your invite for the BBQ - we'll be out of town Friday and Saturday because Casey has a gig in Lake Clear. Unless plans change...we won't be there :(
ReplyDeleteNo worries! I figured most people already had plans anyways. Just gonna be a really small thing I would assume :) enjoy yours!
