2014 Recap: All in a Year
January 2014:January 7 I went back to work after my maternity leave came to a close. G started part time daycare to get a feel for it, and the transition was way too smooth to even complain about this.
We continued our year of dates here. With dinner and a movie--pretty basic stuff. But with a one month old, a few hours of time together is very important (even though you only talk about the baby when you're out).
I posted a picture update
G turned ONE. He had his cake smash, birthday party, and I got into some real talk about how fast that year flew!
February 2014:
G made it through his first flu, but it broke my heart.
I explained to the world why I LOVE being in love . (ok, well 5 ways I love it anyways).
March 2014:
March must have been busy, I only had one post. In this post I talked about my monthly bucket list! If you're going to post only one thing a month, make it a life to-do list, apparently :)
April 2014:
This old broad got down and dirty spring cleaning and learning how to plan ahead for dinners.
We also had a fondue party and booked our cabin for girls weekend!
May 2014:
I've got nothing! Must have been busy :)
June 2014:
I came back from a month hiatus, just to say sorry, not sorry and announce our beginning to look at houses, and plans for the summer.
There was also a realignment at work on June 6, so I started with a new team. The best thing to ever happen :)
July 2014:
I must have liked writing (or had something to talk about this month) because I blogged ALOT.
I decided none of us should have to work in the summertime for these reasons.
We started to declutter the house to sell it/had our house appraised and it was the first mention of when Tyler went to see the store front!
We did the front steps in stamped concrete
We went to see Bruno Mars in concert (and were blown away)- also I took some summer vacation time, and came back to work more tired than ever hah
The house was officially on the market as of July 31.
August 2014:
We sold our house within 48 hours of it being listed (conditionally, but it did end up selling to those buyers).
Due to the house selling so fast, we started panicking and went to look at ELEVEN houses that Sunday and put in an offer on the house that turned out to be where we are now :)
We announced that Tyler would be opening his new gaming store The Kessel Run.
I shared pictures of our new home
G decided to call 9-1-1 at daycare
I made plans for G's future room and came pretty close (except a new theme). Will make a post about his room soon :)
We realised we have a full blown Momma's boy on our hands
September 2014:
I recapped our moving day. I choose not to read this post again because it was such a stressful day!
We had our housewarming party.
September was crazy. We went to Windsor for our anniversary at the beginning of the month, came home, we moved the house, Ty took possession of the store, we had our house warming party and my birthday all in that month. Happy to say goodbye to that month!
October 2014:
A certain someone (no, not my husband haha) ticked me off by saying I wasn't allowed to be tired. Screw you, again bud.
I also posted about that little boy who stole my heart
Ty's store had their Grand Opening
Also had a long over-due Girls only dinner
November 2014:
I started my Christmas shopping and finished earlier than ever before.
Pretty slow month :)
December 2014:
G went to visit Santa Clause, and watched his first Santa Claus parade (didn't love it)
Tyler lost an uncle, and it was an emotionally draining week.
Ty and I got away for a night to do a date night
Mommy got a night out/away alone for a birthday party
Went with some co-workers for Pedicures and dinner
I made my "Bucket List" for the coming year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
