TGI freakin' Friday
Today only took me an hour, instead of two to get to work. So that's kind of a plus, right? Only an extra 15-20 minutes instead. Plus, it's like 20 degrees warmer than yesterday, which it doesn't feel like, but at least I could pump gas and clean off my car without my face falling off! God bless Canada :)
Last night when I picked G up, he passed out in the car right after I clipped him into the carseat lol. The ride home is only about 7 minutes in bad weather, so he must have been pooped. He slept from 4:00-7:30 last night, and then was back to bed by 9:30 for the night. I appreciate that he wasn't up too late, since I was pooped.
When he went down for a nap, I thought I would exercise the fact that I am a strong, independent woman. So I whipped out the drill and screwdrivers and opened the box of that shelf Ty bought me the other night. Not even the thick wicker baskets were assembled yet, which kind of threw me off lol. Easily there are 50 pieces to assemble and two entire bags of screws/assembly hardware. I was settled in for at least an hour project. An hour passed and I had three pieces assembled. And wrong I think. So I dismantled and voted Tyler to do it. I was fuming mad at this point. So I am just happy it's not a pile of ashes right now, because all I wanted to do was light it on fire :)
In my defence, ONE picture with a HUGE list of very vague instructions doesn't count as an instruction manual! UGH. Fine, I understand, connect piece A to G, but which side connects to what, etc. Ridiculous.
So I immediately texted Tyler venting about this horrrrrrrible experience. I was too confident as I had perfectly assembled the over the toilet shelf thing for the powder room the other day with no issue.
I knew he was going to be a bit later, as a big shipment arrived around 5, and he had to do inventory. Around 7:45 he came in with his arms full. He presented to me three different bottles of white wine (my three faves--2 reislings and a chardonnay), and two different types of cheesecake. Seriously though...I kind of love him. I made us a little snack, poured us each a little glass of wine and then we ate cheesecake until our hearts turned to cheesecake :) Then he ran me a bubble bath...so it was kind of a perfect night. But only after he got home! lol Also, I think G could sense my anxiety, because he was SO good last night, in the short period he was awake lol
We finished catching up on Grey's Anatomy, and I got time to catch up on social media. It was great :) It would have been a perfect night if it had been a Friday and I could have allowed myself to have another little sip of wine.; But it was already 11 before I went to bed, so that's late enough!
(I mayyyyy have stayed up late to watch the new episode of Snooki and Jwoww...don't hate! haha)
I am addicted to looking at excursions for our trip. I'm sick of us going and trying to figure out what we want to do once we get there. This time, I will have a good idea of what I want to take from our trip before we go. I'm a planner. I'm a Libra. I'm a type A. Sorry, not sorry.
Here is an example of one. This sounds fun--I saw a horseback riding along the beach as well. And a catamaran to another island where the waters are clear...I am excited :) We SO deserve this break from reality, from the stresses of everyday life. To reconnect and be alone together having fun and reminding each other why we are best friends and spouses :) Even if we were just alone bored on a beach, it is time well spent alone!

Tomorrow Ty is supposed to head out after work to help a friend out with his new house. My meatball is supposed to come over for a visit for the evening. Ty may come home , depending how late they work, but I told him to just sleep there. Take a break and unwind and get a good nights rest. He is working himself ragged, and still trying to pay attention to me lol. He deserves a break :)...even if it's just for a few hours of rest lol
Sunday I would like to go out and get paint for the living room...but realistically, I could do this a night next week, since Ty probably won't have time to do it on Sunday. But who knows :) He also needs to assemble the pieces of shelf that are littering the living room floor right now LOL
I'm so happy that our office buildings moved to Vanier: Said no one, ever.
A few months ago, a few guys tried to push another guy off the bridge across the street...
3 days ago, an 18 year old mentally delayed male was knocked unconscious and sexually assaulted, left unconscious and naked in -20 degree weather for a few hours right outside of our building just about....note to self..never be alone here after 4pm. Yikes..Thankfully everyone is ok in both stories, and that our parking is underground. Safety in numbers, people. Best advice ever given!
Hopefully everyone has a wonderful Friday, and a nice relaxing weekend planned! Stay warm!
