Focus on the Positives
It's going to feel like such a short day today, considering the ride in took me an hour and 20 minutes this morning--about 40 minutes longer than usual. We got a little dump of snow last night, but the roads were pretty clear (and not at all slippery) this morning, but still had to drive at a turtle's pace this morning for some reason..Not a great start to the day (oh, also it's going to be -35 with the windchill today).
But I just have to keep thinking of the positives to get me through :)
1) Gas was 84 cents this morning. I didn't need gas since I filled up yesterday, but 84 cents made me smile!
2) I talked about this shelf for so long to Tyler, and mentioned the other day that it was 60% off at the store, so Tyler came home and surprised me with it last night :) (after I cried on the phone to him for 20 minutes about how bad of a day I was having--he picked the perfect night to surprise me. He is perfect).
3) Garett didn't nap at daycare yesterday, but had an hour and half long nap when we got home, which allowed me to put away the dishwasher, some laundry, get dinner made, and rearrange the kitchen counter stuff. Ty got home before G woke up, so we had a few moments to ourselves to chat about the day. AND he still went to bed at 9.
4) That time after G goes to bed and Ty and I lounge around watching tv, playing on our ipads and joking around. I look forward to this time of the day. Last night he was looking at the imgur site laughing away and showing me the really funny stuff, and I was busy on pinterest planning things for his birthday/Jersey Shore theme party.
5) Receiving parcels I forgot I ordered in the mail. This is like Christmas for me :)
6) Having one episode left to watch on the new season of Grey's Anatomy I bought on apple tv before we are all caught up!
7) We started watching The Newsroom and it is awesome. Perfect way to spend lazy nights! Finally an intellectually stimulating show!
8) Opening up my PVR and seeing a bunch of my guilty pleasure shows on there to catch up on!
9)That me and a few girls from work are trying a new place at lunch today
10) Wearing leggings to work and still looking dressed up, but feeling like I am wearing PJ's!
