Master Bedroom

Image
Aside from some small finishing touches, we finished the master. Here is the BEFORE picture : I am finding it hard to cover the light beige walls--I find they feel so clean, but it doesn't feel homey if it's not painted. So...we painted lol. I refuse to put curtains up though, because the stark white wood blinds feel effortless and clean. So that was my compromise with myself lol. So without further adieu : The walls are a colour called Creme Brûlée. The accent wall, a chocolate brown.  Shelves from Canadian Tire, art from Home Sense, W light from Bed, Bath and Beyond (this is so cool when it's on lol), candle jar with twine wrap and handle from Walmart. Not sure where I got the dream sign, but the diffuser on the top shelf is from Zbed , bath and beyond also. Picture above the bed was a wedding gift from my parents, it has a plaque with our names and wedding date. It is very special to us. Lamps are from Bouclair a Home, bedding from Bed, bath and beyond, headboard from S...

Fabulous Friday

It's going to be a great day. Something great must have happened with the stars and something about astrology and my sign/ whatever that junk means, because in all honesty everything worked out perfectly this morning. I got to work, got a western egg white omelette made, grabbed a bottle of water and came up to an empty floor. The lights were all off still (they are motion censored ), so I snuck in past the censor and ...

What do I pack? Read on to find out! 1) First and foremost, a girls weekend is NOT a girls weekend without cool girly drinks in funky cups. Who can pass up that photo op? We are girls. We like to take pictures. Why not make them interesting? Sangria, colourful cocktails...they are all in abundance. The first morning will remind you how old you are and you will vow to never try and drink from the fountain of youth again (girly drinks). 2) You NEED a cool shirt. Buy one, have one made, who cares; you just need one. This is the one I have. Mine is black. It's comfy and will hide the aforementioned girly drinks when they no doubt spill down your entire body around 2AM. They are also comfy to fall asleep in with a nice pair of almost sheer pj pants (no one packs good P...
