Long weekend recap

What a fun and productive weekend!!

Friday I decided to take the day off. I did a deep clean of our master bedroom and bathroom, as well as in Garett's room. 

Saturday we were up bright and early. We hung out around the house and as soon as g woke up from his nap, we headed to town to drop him off at Tyler's moms house for the night. We headed to the Atomic Rooster on bank street while our friend Rods band set up. We split some antojitos and deep fried pickles, enjoyed a beer, and took a long walk to the a rideau curling club to see Tyler's stores booth at Cangames. We stayed about 10 minutes and walked to the Royak oak on kent street for a drink. We headed back to the Atomic Rooster for dinner (Ty had some burger and I had a delicious goat cheese salad) and watched Rods band until they finished at 8. We we're back at their house by 9:30 and the rest of his band came back to jam as well. I was in bed by 2, and we were up at 9:30 ready to go get G.

G had a great night. Had had so much fun, and we got a bit of a break to visit and be Thler and Amy instead of mommy and daddy. We headed home just in time for G's 3.5 hour nap. In that time I washed some of his big toys down outside, we moved the fire pit , I washed the patio furniture down, set up G's water table, washed the car and truck , talked to the neighbours, had some lunch and Ty mowed the lawn. When g finally woke up, he had a bite to eat and played outside for a bit. We decided to head into town to hit up Home Depot for some stuff Ty needed. Garett got to ride in his favourite car carts and got some DQ for dinner and an ice cream treat (which he took one bite out of lol..he was more interested in my cone, of course). We took the scenic route home so he could see tractors, buses, cows, horses and sheep. 

We came in, gave him a bath, put on curious George , made a snack, and it was bedtime!!!

Tyler headed into town this morning to do some work at The Cantina to get it ready to open, and g and I played. He is going on three hours of nap again. We were supposed to head into town to grab a late lunch and play at the store for a bit, but he's sleeping for a long time lol. We are headed to Casselman tonight to pick up a vanity and medicine cabinet for the basement washroom since we are gearing up to do that in the late summer, early fall. 

All in all, it was a very fun, family-oriented long weekend. I had a blast! Hope everyone took advantage of this time off as well!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
