Things you need for a successful girls weekend

Well, I did it. I made my "to pack" list for our upcoming girls weekend not this weekend, but the coming one after.

It's all pretty standard stuff, with the exception of a few MUST bring necessities. What do I pack? Read on to find out!

1) First and foremost, a girls weekend is NOT a girls weekend without cool girly drinks in funky cups. Who can pass up that photo op? We are girls. We like to take pictures. Why not make them interesting? Sangria, colourful cocktails...they are all in abundance. The first morning will remind you how old you are and you will vow to never try and drink from the fountain of youth again (girly drinks).

2) You NEED a cool shirt. Buy one, have one made, who cares; you just need one. This is the one I have. Mine is black. It's comfy and will hide the aforementioned girly drinks when they no doubt spill down your entire body around 2AM. They are also comfy to fall asleep in with a nice pair of almost sheer pj pants (no one packs good PJ's for girls weekend because who cares?)

3) This one is key. Are you listening? Tums AND Advil. Tums because your stomach will hurt from the amount of sugary juice and soft drinks that are consumed--not to mention all of the meat. Oh, the meat that is BBQ'd--this is all that I eat pretty well the whole time. Indigestion city. Advil for the mornings with a big mimosa to wash it down.

4) Sunglasses. You sit outside. ALOT. Protect those eyes of yours! Squinting is not cute, and causes premature aging.

5) Magazines. Ideally you never need to crack one of these puppies open, but I am usually awake super early, and I like to have something to read :)

6) Sunscreen. See: Number 4. Outside lots. Premature aging. Also, if I don't wear any, I burn to a crisp and walking around in pain for a week is not fun.

7) A swimsuit. You will be outside a lot, remember? You will sweat a lot probably if you have nice weather, and you want those pasty white legs to see the light of day. Also, a one piece because I'm a mom lol I will keep it classy for the most part--don't want any accidents here lol

8) A coverup. Because you don't want to be totally exposed the whole time. It's nice to have something to throw on top while you eat and stuff.
