Fabulous Friday

It's going to be a great day. Something great must have happened with the stars and something about astrology and my sign/ whatever that junk means, because in all honesty everything worked out perfectly this morning.

We woke up to Tyler's alarm at 5:50, and I lounged in bed until he finished getting ready. He woke Garett up and got him dressed while I got ready, and then I said goodbye to the boys and took my time finishing up at home. I feel confident in my outfit today, my hair and makeup cooperated, and I even had time to spritz on some of my favourite perfume without worrying about Garett inhaling it. I gathered my thoughts and things on the way out, situated myself in the car and found the best radio station song, stopped for gas and barely ran into any thick traffic. I got to work, got a western egg white omelette made, grabbed a bottle of water and came up to an empty floor. The lights were all off still (they are motion censored ), so I snuck in past the censor and ate my breakfast with just the natural sunlight shining in. My Director is off on Vacation today, so I didn't have to do any rushing around I normally do in the morning.

It's a friend from works last day today, so we are heading to the Lonestar at lunch. Some fresh salsa and chips. and fajitas. and a margarita? What a perfect Friday afternoon activity. I am probably going to even leave early today--how amazing!

Tonight? Possibly a glass of Chardonnay, a movie as a family (I'm thinking Big Hero 6), and a laundry folding party for three (two more loads got added to that unfolded pile from yesterday). I was hoping to paint the living room this weekend, but we haven't had a weekend to just chill out in a while, so maybe I won't put any expectations on us for a few days and we can just enjoy our time together :)

Last night I made some healthy stuffed peppers (ground turkey and quinoa instead of beef or sausage and rice like usual). They tasted just about the same because more flavour came from the spices and diced tomatoes, and onions than anything else. Garett liked the filling, once again. He's big on ground meats that have spices in it...like mother, like son haha. Not so healthy was the triple chocolate cupcakes we ate after Garett went to bed.

Tonight feels like a bbq night. Since they are calling for possible storms this weekend, I think we should enjoy the outside before we can't for a few days. I have stuff out to make some chicken kabobs with chicken I have marinating in a garlicky concoction. I will serve over some rice pilaf (G's favourite).

What are your plans for the weekend?
...and I think we can all agree, TGI-freaking-F.
