Oh my gosh--it's finally here....FRIDAY :) heheh ( I was going to say TGIF but didn't want to sound too cliche this early in the morning).
Last night after work was pretty uneventful! We took the hour long bus ride, I dropped Dolly off at home and I went home to visit with my dad for a few minutes (He was there helping to finish the washroom which is now pretty well complete and to put in my new sink and faucet). When he took off to go home, I also left and went to the furniture store and stopped at M&M Meatshop on the way home and picked up some of those broccoli and cheese stuffed potatoes and some pepper marinated sirloin steaks and made those and some peas and garlic bread for dinner. Oh my were they ever good! Definitely pick some up if you ever shop there! (I love M&M!). While I was cooking supper, Tyler decided to take a bath--and since all of our big towels are still at the other place, he had to call Doll to bring us some over lol. So over she came :) ( what a good sister,eh? ). She stayed and kept me company for a bit and when she left, I decided to take a bath and try out the new tub! So deep and relaxing! I love it :) Then I cut up a piece of the pumpkin bread my mom brought over and had that with a glass of milk and finished watching the hockey game (that the Sens finally won, by the way). Was asleep shortly after!
My dad is coming up to help Ty again today--they are putting the drywall up on the ceiling and painting the hallways and basement (I think) and if the drywall muck is dry enough, they can paint the ceilings down there today as well and put in the new track lighting I picked up:) Carpet will be in next week! The swatches should be coming to the house today or tomorrow so we can pick what we want. I think it'll be a lightish beige--not white beige but a light taupe colour! We need to keep it light down there since it is a basement afterall and the computer room is a little bit darker then I anticipated--guess I better buy some nice stand up lamps!! lol So stay tuned for the before and after pictures by the end of next week some time I hope! :)
This weekend is pretty quiet for us :) At this moment in time, I think the plan is just hanging out and relaxing! We have some gift cards for The Keg so I would like to use them up maybe Saturday night :) Never turned down a good "free" steak and seafood dinner before, not going to start now!! lol Plus, me and Ty are due for a nice relaxing date night out for all the hard work we've done!! Maybe we'll even pop by chapters and treat each other with a new book :) (we do this sometimes---go into chapters and find a book you like and we buy each others :)). I keep seeing and hearing about "The Help" and never actually picked it up yet so that'll be my next purchase!
