Cake. That's all I want to eat right now is a little bit of cake (or a lot, depending on the kind). Instead, I opted for an egg white and sausage breakfast sandwhich on an english muffin from Subway (which by the way has delicious breakfast if you ever want to try it) and it's pretty good for you! (in comparison to tim hortons). Those of you on weight watchers should try it as they're very low in points!
So last weekend Tyler started dismantling our above ground pool (next summer, we want to move it closer to the house and put a nice deck around it , etc). So he got the top ring of connectors off with my dads help and those are put away. Long story short, it's been sitting like that (just the steel and support bars on the sides) for the past almost week now. Last night and today we are having huge wind gusts (feels like tornado winds) and I looked out the bedroom window this mornign to find it all folded in on itself. Hopefully everything is ok or just a few pieces are missing or whatever so it's easy to replace. If not--guess who's getting a new pool next year?! :) hahaha
So after I see this and wake Tyler up to tell him what happened, I proceed to get ready--in my house with running, drinkable well water * :) :) :) : ) :) * I open the door and it's like a vaccuum...things blow over in the living room (I guess that's the room the wind decided to funnel into), I get hit in the head with the fall wreath I have hanging on the door that is blowing wildly back and forth and make my way down the steps to my car in the driveway. I get in, shut the door and in my peripheral vision, something looks different. The visor on the tops of my windows (not sure what the right name is)--the drivers side one is half gone. The wind cracked it right in half and away it went--it was nowhere in the yard (not that it's fixable anyways). So I texted Tyler (poor guy lol) and he will take the other half off for me when I get home tonight so I can go buy a replacement one and put it back on. *sigh* there's always something eh??
Then I picked up Dolly--who PS isn't having any better of a day, poor girl. On the upside, I suppose it feels like Monday all around to everyone and it's actually Thursday, so tomorrow being Friday may wind up feeling like a treat! lol.
My dad ended up leaving around 7:40 or so last night and getting home around 8:30. I hate that he is so keen on coming by to help. He is still fully capable but these things catch up with him more. He can barely move in the morning after a hard days work doing these things, and then the worst thing you can do is be stagnant and sit there. So he gets up and does it all over again! It scares me :(
Anyways, before he left, I cooked some dinner (which he didn't eat because he had just eaten sandwhiches before I got home apparently), and I unpacked my pantry boxes with the food from the other place. He went home after they finished putting the tiles up in the washroom. Then real relaxation kicked in! I made a nice hot cup of white hot chocolate and sat down, checked my emails and facebook and watched America's Funniest Home Videos and got a back rub! It was a good night :)
How was everyone elses' hump day??? The week is more then half done, so even if it was bad, it's almost Friday!! :)
