WOW! What an exhausting (good) weekend! I can barely remember as far back as Saturday! hahah
But here we go! Friday after work, I came out to the house and worked on some stuff (my parents were here) and visited for a bit. We went back to our house in Ottawa afterwards and Tyler showered and took off to Rod's for a nice long break from the house work. I did some laundry, a little packing and sorting for the garage sale. Went to bed pretty early!
When I woke up, I loaded some stuff in the car and came to Embrun. The hot water tank guy was right in front of me (good timing!). My parents beat me here though anyways so I wouldn't have missed him or anything :) He taught me and my dad a bit about the hot water tank (how to maintain it, about the new sensor we have on it, what temperature to keep it on, etc). Shortly after the appliances and dining table arrived! :) They look FANTASTIC! Pictures soon to follow :) My dad and I put together the bed and two nightstands and the phone/internet guy and satellite guy both arrived! So now we're all set up and ready to go!
On Sunday morning, I went to my parents house for a yummy thanksgiving meal and visits! Tyler had to work :( His season is still in full bloom lol. So I brought him a plate home (which if he doesnt eat soon, I WILL hah). He stopped by at his families thanksgiving in Limoges on his way home though :) Sunday night was out first night sleeping here together! I slept okay--as good as you can sleep in a new place I guess!
Yesterday (Monday), my parents and sister and Stephane all came over (nat just came to see the house), everyone else was here to work lol. They got the ceiling cut out where we want to redrywall and the built in shelves all framed out. Dad and Stephane ripped up the yucky smelly laminate that was under the yucky smelly carpet haha..now we have nice concrete to adhere our new carpet to :)
Enough of it is ALMOST finished now (nothing is completely done yet) that I am getting antsy to see the end result. I cannot wait for the day we can just sit back and relax with a glass of wine and look at all the hard work and hours put into our beautiful home :)
Today, the heater guy and the well guy are coming by, so Ty has to be here to let them in-- I have to go back to the grind of work hehe. It is my first day on the new bus and am excited not to have to park and walk 10 blocks a day! I didn't sleep well last night and would have fallen asleep on the bus and missed my stop likely, so I messaged Dolly, went back to sleep and will pick her up on the way to the later bus (will work 8-4 today). Once I get used to sleeping here (hopefully tonight), I will go back to earlier hours :)
