I cannot believe April is almost over!!! Time is going by way too fast and I don't know how to get it to slow down. I am happy that summer is around the corner and patio/BBQ weather has officially started and we started the yard and the major cleanup we want to do out there, but I'm not ready for months to be flying by like this. Tyler's season is so busy this year but he's trying to find a day they can finish up early and come and tear up our driveway and front walk /steps. We're redoing it all this year in concrete (obviously) and I am so excited. The front of our house looks so crummy from the road because of the cracking asphalt and ugly fake cobble stone steps. I can't wait. We didn't do too much this weekend. On Friday Ty came home fairly early and I had made a dinner of twice baked potatoes, vegetables and rice stir fry and some chicken. I haven't been up to much lately so pardon the gaps in between posts lol. Monday I caught up on a lot of cleaning and then Dolly popped in for a visit and to see the baby and give us stag tickets to sell. Ty made breakfast for dinner that night and we watched some tv and went to bed! Garett has been very fussy through the day and we've determined he's started teething. Apparently children can teethe for months before they even cut teeth so I keep him busy with those cold teething things and try to keep him occupied. I am loving the sunshine and the weather slowly warming up (though I would appreciate it warming up faster lol). It's so nice to be able to open the windows and air out the stale winter air from the house! The weekend was pretty busy! Friday night Ty and I were wanting to get out of the house so when we talked through the day I said we could and to ask his mom and step dad to watch the little man. I didn't know at the time but apparently they cancelled their dinner plans to watch him. I feel bad now knowing that or I wouldn't have had him ask! So we dropped him off and headed around the corner to Moxie's. I always love the food here but they placed us in a big circle booth in the lounge area and it just wasn't a relaxing atmosphere for conversation and to unwind. So we were happy to get out of there. Things have been crazy ! Not just in my life but in the rarest of the world. First there was the threat of nuclear attacks on the US by North Korea, then the Boston Marathon ordeal, then kids dying in a fire in Thurso. It's all so awful and what's even ore tragic is that these a the headlines in the news. It would be nice to live in a world of Good Samaritans, but unfortunately, not the case and there's nothing we can do to be more prepared for the things! My life has ally been consisting of cleaning, laundry, taking care of the baby (since Ty is so insanely busy and usually gone 12-14 hours a day) and cooking. We have really been making a conscious effort to eat well at home and not keep any junk in the house (which is easy for me because I do the groceries--the problem is if Ty goes into any stores lol). No more ordering in except for a treat here and there and w never eat out anymore anyways so that's not a problem. It definitely isn't cheaper to way though. I...

WHAT THE HECK?!?! This weather is stupid. Ice pellets, freezing rain, snow, rain--the only thing that makes this ok is the fact I can stay inside and wait for the permanent nice weather to come next week lol. Today is the first day for Ty's cottage and big backyard show. I doubt it will be very busy today but the rest of the weekend they're predicting it to be packed.I don't know how he's planning to keep up with all his business this year but he's excited for how big the company is getting, regardless lol. Well, we definitely rested and enjoyed the rest of our weekend :) Yesterday Ty left around 9 to go to his new bands practise which I guess went very well :) my parents both headed up while he was gone for a visit and hung out talking, playing with and holding Garett. It was a good morning. They stayed for a bit longer so they could see Ty since he wanted to see them and visit for a bit. They left around 3 and we made some soup and grilled cheese for a late lunch and watched some Greys :) After relaxing for a bit and playing with baby we decided to order in for dinner. We don't do this often anymore and it's nice to have a break from always cooking! We each had a club sandwich and watched a few more episodes of greys. We are about 8 episodes from being caught up now :) Garett fell asleep around 3 and we woke him up a couple times to feed and change him. I was scared again (I don't know why I even bother worrying) that he would sleep that night but we went to bed around 10...

It feels like midnight right now but it's 9:47pm. Craziness. Yesterday was a relaxing day of laundry again. I got almost all caught up and somehow the hamper in the hall is full again. Wtf is happening lol After I did some laundry and dishes I bought the movie Knocked Up on the Apple TV and watched that. Ty came home in between his sets of estimates and we watched an episode of greys and ate lunch and he took off and came back around 4:30 when I started dinner. I just made a quick spaghetti sauce but added some hot Italian ground sausage to it and some penne with garlic bread and Caesar salad. Holy this week is going by slowly--and I don't even have to work, so I can only imagine how long it feels for those that are working! Last night Ty got home around 7:30 and I had made some pizza and threw in some wedge fries from M&M's (if you haven't tasted these, get some!). It was pretty good though I don't like the whole wheat crust. It just doesn't cook the same. We took it to the basement and put Pitch Perfect on. It was ok. There wasn't nearly enough singing and none of the singing made us go "wow" but it was entertaining. It also took us twice as long as it should have to get through with the baby wanting attention every 10 minutes lol. While Ty was out in Kanata yesterday he bought some butter tarts (some regular with raisins, some raspberry and some lemon) from this bakery he always raves about and I'm never with him when he goes. I wish I never found out Apple TV existed. This will be a costly endeavour for us lol. Yesterday, I had some downtime and was tired of cleaning so I decided to sit down to a movie or two while Ty was gone. I bought Breaking Dawn Part 2 to rewatch since it was significantly cheaper on there then in the store! So I started with that :) After that I was doing some filing of bills and stuff and decided to put on another one while I started dinner and finished up the filing. So I bought the movie Friends with Kids. It was great! :) There was a lot of the same people from Bridesmaids in it so I think that means it speaks for itself lol. Then I decided I would buy a movie to maybe watch while we ate dinner when Ty got home. I settled on Pitch Perfect. We didn't end up watching it because the baby was sleeping and we didn't want to move him so we watched some episodes of Season 9 of Grey's Anatomy that we just bought the season pass for through the Apple TV too lol. What a busy weekend! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed their family time/Easter!!! Friday we headed to Cornwall in the afternoon after Ty went and signed some more contracts for our Easter dinner there. Mom made a big meal and we stayed until about 8:30 and headed home. We had a really good time :) Saturday we relaxed during the day and did some cleaning/laundry.
