Things have been crazy ! Not just in my life but in the rarest of the world. First there was the threat of nuclear attacks on the US by North Korea, then the Boston Marathon ordeal, then kids dying in a fire in Thurso. It's all so awful and what's even ore tragic is that these a the headlines in the news. It would be nice to live in a world of Good Samaritans, but unfortunately, not the case and there's nothing we can do to be more prepared for the things! My life has ally been consisting of cleaning, laundry, taking care of the baby (since Ty is so insanely busy and usually gone 12-14 hours a day) and cooking. We have really been making a conscious effort to eat well at home and not keep any junk in the house (which is easy for me because I do the groceries--the problem is if Ty goes into any stores lol). No more ordering in except for a treat here and there and w never eat out anymore anyways so that's not a problem. It definitely isn't cheaper to way though. It's very expensive to eat healthy. If your grocery bill isn't almost double what everyone else's carts are worth, you're doing it wrong apparently. Sighs. Oh well! I have also started my workout regimen. Once a week now (starting last night) I have my Zumba class, Garett and I go for a walk everyday (as long as its not raining) and I alternate with cardio on my eliptical and bike with some free weights and DVDs I have bought :) I am determined to get crazy fit for my trip in November. I want people to look at me and go "YOU had a baby?!" Lol. Also, new obsession:VOSS water. I thought I loved Fiji water but I was out the other day and bought some of this and fell in love. At $2 a bottle at the store, I limit myself to a few bottles a week lol It has recently come to our attention that one of our friends is an actual wine connoisseur. So last night Ty and I decided we were going to have our friends Rod and Sharon (Since Rod is as passionate about wine as Ty) over and our friend is going to bring a selection of wines over and give us a ourselves on what to look for in tastes, what to pair certain wines with, how to distinguish what you're smelling, etc and I am going to put out some fondue (since I have 3 sets) we will do oil fondue, cheese fondue and a chocolate fondue for dessert. Would be a fun few hours :) a wine tasting is something Ty and I have always wanted to do so what's better then it coming to your door!! I finally got all my filing done the other day as well. I had a huge (which is a huge understatement) pile of old bills and receipts and such buildup on my desk in the office so I brought them all up, organized them chronologically and put them away! I feel so much more organized already lol. Ty is going to be home early today (around 3:30) so i did my morning workout and will wait for him to go for our walk :) for dinner I have some pepper steaks to BBQ, and am making roasted potatoes and brussel sprouts. I hungry already! Garett's getting hungry so I better go before he cries. Hope everyone enjoys their Friday and have a good weekend :)
