Holy this week is going by slowly--and I don't even have to work, so I can only imagine how long it feels for those that are working!
Last night Ty got home around 7:30 and I had made some pizza and threw in some wedge fries from M&M's (if you haven't tasted these, get some!). It was pretty good though I don't like the whole wheat crust. It just doesn't cook the same. We took it to the basement and put Pitch Perfect on. It was ok. There wasn't nearly enough singing and none of the singing made us go "wow" but it was entertaining. It also took us twice as long as it should have to get through with the baby wanting attention every 10 minutes lol. While Ty was out in Kanata yesterday he bought some butter tarts (some regular with raisins, some raspberry and some lemon) from this bakery he always raves about and I'm never with him when he goes. Holy crap are they good--and I'm not even a butter tart fan! So we each had one of those. Once the movie was done, I remembered how desperately I had been craving a hot bubble bath when I was pregnant and couldn't do it, so Ty brought Garett into the bedroom and hung out with him and I ran a scorching hot bath, loaded up the bubbles, lit some candles and turned off the lights and enjoyed a little bit of heaven!!
This morning, we were up early again since Ty had his first estimate at 8am in Orleans so I fed Garett, played with him a bit, read him a story, gave him some tummy time and rocked him to sleep. I caught up on 2 loads of laundry and put them away and Ty ended up coming home just as Garett was waking up. He had to replace a part in his truck and made us bacon and eggs for lunch and then headed out for the second half of his estimates for the day. I decided since most of the snow is gone and it was pretty mild out, to bundle Garett up and bring him out for a walk in his stroller. It was pretty windy up so I pulled open the cover thing on the car seat (that clicks into the stroller for babies) and pulled open the lid thing on the stroller also so it looked like he was in a little egg and opened the window flap so I could see him and he could see me and we headed out! I walked up and down all the surrounding streets, but got so tired with all the wind and pushing this heavy stroller against the wind made me tired, so I stopped and grabbed the mail and came home. Garett was sleeping when we got back (I guess it's the same effect as the car for him lol) so I put away another load of laundry and went through this weeks flyers (again, didn't find anything I want lol). Garett was still sleeping so I washed and sterilized his bottles and cruised around on pinterest. I texted Ty telling him I was craving McDonald's since I haven't had it in a while. I got one of those two cheeseburger meals and ate one of the cheeseburgers (not sure why it's impossible to just sell me a cheeseburger, fry and drink, they NEED to give you two? ugh). Anyways--big mistake. Now I feel sick!
When Ty got home with that we sat down to an episode of Grey's Anatomy and now he's taking a bath ( I guess I made him jealous last night lol). G-man is sleeping AGAIN so I figured I'd take advantage and blog :)
Another busy weekend ahead, which I look forward to now :)
Tomorrow I will spend the day cleaning the floors and changing bedsheets in between bottles lol...in the evening Casey and Shannon are coming over for dinner and then Matt is joining as well to watch the game with everyone. Unfortunately, I live on Garett's schedule lol--so I will have to go to bed when he goes down for the night so I can get some sleep before Saturday. I am meeting Doll at her place for 12:30 so we can go into town to shop for my bridesmaid dress. Hopefully we find something she likes so we can scratch that off the "to-do" list. After that, Ty and I are heading to Gatineau to go to Grace's birthday for a while--or at least until Garett gets totally fed up of people like he did last weekend, so I doubt we'll be there long. Sunday Ty has a paintball practice in the morning and an estimate in the afternoon. I hope we can relax for the rest of the day after that together :)
Next week I want to get to town to buy Garett some more clothes that aren't onesies. I don't like bringing him places in those onesie sleepers and all the actual clothes he owns are too big. I need to buy his Christening outfit too for his baptism at the end of April. We're having it done at Father Matthew's church in Ingleside (same priest that married us, just a different church), and looking to keep it pretty small so we can have a light lunch after with Garett's godparents, grandparents, aunts/uncles and father Matthew :) I am going to buy him one of those white suits to wear, he will look so handsome :)
Anyways, Ty is out of the tub now, so going to go do some banking and settle in with a nice shower, pjs and Grey's :) Happy Friday's eve, everyone!
PS. 240 days until Mexico (but who's counting LOL)
