WHAT THE HECK?!?! This weather is stupid. Ice pellets, freezing rain, snow, rain--the only thing that makes this ok is the fact I can stay inside and wait for the permanent nice weather to come next week lol. Today is the first day for Ty's cottage and big backyard show. I doubt it will be very busy today but the rest of the weekend they're predicting it to be packed.I don't know how he's planning to keep up with all his business this year but he's excited for how big the company is getting, regardless lol. I haven't been up to much aside from taking care of the little man, laundry, cleaning, cooking, sleeping lol. I ordered Garett's Christening outfit, shoes and socks the other day. It should be here soon :) It's the most adorable little 5 piece white suit. He's going to look so handsome! Last night was an early night for us. Ty came home and I had cooked some spinach tossed in olive oil and sauteed garlic, mashed potatoes and I had breaded some chicken cutlets. We find when we order out one night we fall off the bandwagon for a day or two after eating junky and we start getting really tired and feel like garbage, so we're back on the eating well at home. After dinner we took turns taking a relaxing bath and then went to bed. We had started The Lorax that I PVR'd the night before last but fell asleep so last night we finished. Meh. It was cute I guess, and Garett loved looking at it for the 2 minutes he was awake lol. The show goes until 9 tonight, so Ty won't be home until late, but he will be starving when he gets home. I've been marinating pork loin chops since last night in a carribean mix I made with the spices Ty bought at the home show, then I'll also make some grilled asparagus wrapped in bacon and some rice. I'm hungry now talking about food lol. The baby is down for his afternoon nap so it's my lunch time:) OH NO! I just saw a lady bug flying around. It better not be one of those crazy infestation of lady bug summers!!! hahah I hope everyone has a great Friday (regardless of the snow and ice!) and has a safe weekend :)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
