Busy weekends for the rest of our lives...

Well, this weekend was no different from the rest: busy as usual.

Friday my friend Shannon came over to keep me company, and I'm glad she did since the day was spent in terror of tornado watches! I was happy not to be alone, that's for sure!! Ty came home earlier than normal (phew) and we ordered in some dinner. Soon after, Shannon's husband and his brother (Ty's cousins ) headed out to spend the night as well. We watched some stuff on the TV, hung out, had a few drinks and headed to bed (not quite as early as I was hoping, but still around midnight). It was a nice night:)

The boys had an early tee time and Shannon had an oil change to get to, so my boy and I were alone as of around 8:30 on saturday morning. So I tried to clean up a bit, did a few dishes, got his Ieper bag packed, dressed him, got myself ready and even got his new storage shelf for his toys together:) 
I also used that opportunity to order the drink dispensers for cousins night :) purchased from :party city online.


We headed out as soon as Ty got home from golf to the big town of Winchester (lol). His sister was having a wedding dress fitting, so we met them (her and their momma) for lunch, along with their uncle (dads side) and aunt for lunch! Afterwards, we headed back to their house to visit, hear some stories and look at pictures of their dad. It was another nice day-- even though Ty managed to lock his keys in his truck outside the restaurant LOL. 

When we got home, we took turns taking a nap! Lol...then Ty got ready to head into our friend gibby's 30th birthday party. I decided to stay home with Garett since it was easier, with plans for a few people to come back to the house so Ty wouldn't be out the entire time anyways. Around 11:30 they got home and we stayed up chatting too late--but another nice night with friends :)

The next morning we all headed out to breakfast at Hardstones (a restaurant here in town) and headed our own ways after. Ty and I took turns with naps again (haha) and hung out on the couch before we took turns with the bath tub! Around 7 pm we wanted cake so I baked a chocolate cake with some icing and by 8:30 we were eating it. It is the most delicious cake I have possibly ever eaten! Ty agreed by saying "make this cake for everything" haha 

I was asleep by 10, Ty was up until 11 dealing with allergies, but still got a good nights sleep. He was off to work at 6, while Garett and I slept in until after 8:) 

I've done some dishes, laundry and done some serious playing. Garett is finally down for his first nap (yikes). I choose to use my time wisely : blogging and relaxing hehe.

    I'm also veryyyyy happy I had you, Ty and Garett (and the cats) to keep me company on Friday. That was a little terrifying!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
