No news is good news...

Well, there is a reason I didn't make a post yesterday. Reason being: I don't think anyone gives two hoots (yes, hoots) about my domestic life. I cleaned and did laundry--exciting, right? If you think it is exciting, you may in fact need your head examined. 

Ty came home at a decent hour with some sandwiches from a place near greenbank and it was pretty spectacular-aside from my babies smiles, this was sadly the highlight of my day LOL.

Today is the first day Garett is in size 3 diapers. What a little man! He could still get away with size 2s for a few more pounds probably, but I like the extra room he has to move and do his "business" in the bigger ones lol. 

We are getting another fridge for the garage for extra storage :) pretty excited about this lol...I hate when we host things and there just isn't enough room for drinks and food between our fridge and the beer fridge in the basement ! 

I have to go to the grocery store still (badly) and also order the trays I am getting for cousins night (cheeses, sandwiches, desserts)....just hoping they offer this service at my location so I don't have to drive into town to pick them up!

2 nights ago we started to ween Garett off of being rocked and drinking a bottle to sleep so he can learn to self soothe and go to bed without all the cuddles. Let me just say he is such a good boy. The first night was a bit rough--he cried a bit, then we would go in, then he would cry, etc...for about 40 minutes. Last night, I fed him at 8:30, put him in his bed at 9 and he didn't cry once--he played in his crib quietly until he fell asleep around 9:30 I'm guessing from lack of noise from that point on. He even sleeps longer when we do it that route it seems --almost 11 hours each night instead of 9 and then wake up for a bottle. My sweet boy :)

So, my well rested self is watching Bridesmaids since it is on TV and I never pass up watching it--it's just one of those movies.

I appreciate the short storm and all the rain we got last night--really cut through the humidity and heat again!!

Trying to book a massage for Saturday morning, but everyone I've been calling seems to be booked w in the actual f. Saturday evening, I'm supposed to go to a jersey shore night (where we all dress in our best jersey shore outfit, bronzer and all), but I will see how I'm feeling. Definitely not drinking or staying over, and it's pretty far of a drive away-- so we will see-- supposed to carpool with my sister in law:) so maybe ill go just for a visit but my back has really been bugging me and I've been getting headaches and feeling light headed( hoping a massage will fix this).

Sunday there is a family BBQ for Ty's side-- I think we are planning on stopping by for a bit, but that's his deal-- I leave planning things for his side up to him lol

Making a new recipe for ribs tonight....hopefully they're as good as they sound! Definitely going to put a spin on them though since I find recipes never add enough seasoning to things.

This post is turning into really random stuff because I'm taking so many breaks, I don't even know what I originally wanted to say in this post, so I will just wrap it up LOL

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
