Vaccination Day
I think I put it off long enough. Today we took Garett in for his 4 month vaccines (at 5.5 months lol) and a checkup.
He is such a good sport, except when he sees the nurse that does the needles. He hates her. I thought the needles actually hurt him, and they probably did, but he only cried when he saw her touch him and jab him. As soon as she left the room he was laughing and playing. Hmmm haha
We have a perfect and sweet little boy on our hands here !
He weighs 15 pounds 10 ounces ( 25th percentile --nice and fit !)
He is 27.5 inches long (90th percentile -- a tall boy!)
His head is 17 1/4 inches around (50th percentile-- perfect sized head to house his big beautiful brain !)
He is advancing quickly for his age she said.
Starting pablum and puréed foods in 9 days :) in hindsight, I am glad we waited to start other foods--lowers the risk of illnesses and allergies and formula/breast milk is the only real nourishment a baby needs for 6 months. I am starting to feel bad for him though the way he looks at our food, so come on 6 month mark!! Lol
Ok, enough bragging about my perfect child hahah
After we left the doctors office, we stopped in for a burger at Five Guys (yummy) since we were jonesing for a homemade delicious burger.
We dropped Tyler's truck off at the shop to get some things tuned up on it and we will go back and pick it up in the morning :)
After we got home, Ty went right out to cut the grass (took a small break and is back out) and I am playing with my boy-- taking lots of breaks from typing lol
Since we ate a late lunch, we will probably just heat up soup or make a sandwich or a plate with hummus and tzatziki and veggies for dinner since I don't think we're too far away from bedtime right now. Lol
Have to go into town tomorrow evening for some groceries and some stuff I need for cousins night :)
Did I mention yet that we booked our anniversary trip? I can't remember , but we booked it a few weeks back. We are heading out of ottawa and shipping out to Montreal for 2 nights (aug 31 and Sept 1) and staying at Le St- Martin Hotel Particulier Montreal. I chose it after a lot of research and reading reviews lol it's so nice :) I am going to make reservations at one of Chuck Hughes restaurants for dinner (but they only take them up to 30 days in advance)! We are pretty excited to walk around Old Montreal and downtown Montreal since we haven't been there together yet!
And THAT is how every weekend hooks up lol. Between our date day, cousins weekend and that...we're already pretty booked up! Geesh!
I don't know if I have anything else to catch up on! Lol hope everyone is staying cool in this insane humidity and heat! Storms on the weekend should cut through it a bit :)
Let me know how the restaurant is!! Casey and I are planning a trip there at the end of the summer and we ARE going to Chuck's first restaurant since it looks SO cool!!
ReplyDeleteYou may beat us there if you're going for the end of summer too lol but I've read about the one we want to go to-- Garde Manger...he has another one that has an actual menu and is much cheaper it looks like--Le Bremner-- but this place only has a chalkboard menu and changes constantly, so aside from his classics (braised short ribs and the lobster poutine), we won't even be able to suggest anything :( but I've heard nothing but great things about it, so either way, you should definitely go!
