So many things

There is so much on my mind/plate lately I don't know where to begin--I thought I had it all together before I went on vacation. Oops! Lol

I have finished my Christmas shopping, but you know that feeling when you're not excited to give people what you bought? I'm not used to that feeling, because usually buying a thoughtful or sentimental gift is my strong suit....this year? Very random, very non-emotion provoking. Ughhh.oh well, it's done! 

I ordered all of Garett's party supplies--we settled on Thomas since its his favourite. I may have gotten carried away, but that's what mommies are for :) I also sent the picture to our friend making his cake, so I'm pretty excited to see it--I also bought the outfit he will wear and his outfit for his cake smash photoshoot the weekend before. I am so relieved we decided on a very small gathering instead of including every single family member--our house isn't big enough, and ill be enough o an emotional wreck without worrying that 40 people got fed,thankyouverymuch. Oh, did I mention I'm slacking and ordering plates of sandwiches and such? Lol #mommywin

We also have our December date day coming up, plus our january date day before Garett's birthday, plus going back to work, plus New Years, plus Tyler's birthday, my dads birthday, valentines day, February date day....it's never ending. I just make endless to-do lists and hope half of it gets done lol.

On the plus side, I do always have lots of time for my boy (which is why I only get half my to-do lists done lol), and he is just developing so fast I can't handle it. He's walking. He's walking so much he's almost running. He's learning words, he's feeding himself, he's still an amazing sleeper. I can't complain. The other night, we had a friend over and I'm like "well G is getting a bit cranky, I'm going to go up to feed him". The friend looks at me funny and goes "are you kidding ? That's cranky?!" Lol...what can I say...he's typically mild mannered and he's going to be SO SO SO SO hard to leave in 21 ( routinely ) :'( his absolute favourite thing right now is shaking his head no. Also, he has FIVE teeth now! ...ok enough, I know lol

Most of our shows are over :( (survivor, restaurant express, SOA), but on the upside, The Sing Off just started--our absolute favourite! And chopped Canada is starting soon, I think !

Not sure if I have anything else new to share, but I've had enough snow--hope that's it for the winter (lol)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
