Spring has arrived

 On our house at least. My husband and I are deep in spring cleaning mode. With one day left until company and one week left until work, I want this house spotless. The last thing I need to be thinking about, sitting at my desk is all the dust bunnies collecting under the couches, beds,etc.  I mean, I have better things to think about...like "what is Garett eating for lunch?" Loll

So we've finished most of the basement. I just have eleventy billion loads more laundry to do and put away. But seriously, the tree and all inside Christmas stuff is put away, we got the basement rearranged, organized, put out our air hockey table finally, cleaned the carpet, cleaned the couch, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned all the shelves and made a riddance in the furnace room. 

The bathroom is spotless too now. Except Tyler broke the corner rack thing in the shower, so off to Rona today for a new one! We finally got a lock on the pocket door too. Now cats and kids alike can't sneak in.

We swept and swept and swept. Correct, we swept three times. Twice with the regular broom and once with the sweepsa---everyone immediately needs to buy one of these. Today we are cleaning the kitchen cupboards out, scrubbing all the grout in the tile, steam cleaning the tiles (no more harsh floor chemicals for this momma), change and wash bed sheets, treat the hardwood and get things ready for tomorrow evening! 

On friday, our mail guy put a package in our delivery box, but didn't take into consideration when he closed the big door, we wouldn't be able to get it out of our tinier hole...so Ty was desperate to now what it was since a few things ordered shouldn't be left in the cold. So inside the box he opened the package. It was his Christmas gift from me...not how I wanted him to see it:( but now he knows he got the entire Midnight Special series...a show featuring musical talent that aired n the 70' and 80's. He was pretty excited, but he had to wait until today when the mail guy comes to get it out lol. Poor guy. He's been wanting this set since I've known him :) I think I did good.

Anyways, hope everyone enjoys their New Years since I won't be back before that!:) G is more regular than most faults and has another diaper stinking up the room. Happy Monday!!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
