1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
I LOVE the idea of eggnog, but I actually hate it more than anything. Hot chocolate definitely wins this.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Santa definitely wraps the presents! How us it any fun to see what you got in two seconds? Half the fun is unwrapping!

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
If I had it my way, only white lights everywhere. Soft white though, not ugly blue-ish LED's. Ty loves coloured. So around the trim of the house he does coloured. I put up my garland, wreath and little outside trees white, our inside tree has both.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No. It's stupid to make a hole in the celing/door frame for that lol

5. When do you hang your decorations up?
Usually the weekend after Remembrance Day. I love the Christmas season.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Hands down: stuffing 

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?

Wanting to rush home from church, anticipating bedtime so so much. That feeling will never be recreated. Every year my parents got us each something big , so it was fun seeing what that was. Stockings were my favourite thing, lounging around in pjs for the short amount of time we got to before going to visit family. 

8.What is on your Christmas Wish-list?

Not a whole lot. Mostly house stuff I think.

9. Do you open a gifts on Christmas Eve?

Growing up, never. But as adults yes because we do Ty's family on Christmas Eve. Then g will open his Christmas Eve box when we get home :)

10. What tops your tree?

An angel

11.Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?
I love to give gifts. I am weird with receiving because I am bad at reactions lol

12. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
O holy night, o come all ye faithful as classics. Hanson snowed in album has been the classic since elementary school for sure though!

13.Candy canes, yuck or yum?
Yuck.

14. Favorite Christmas Movie?
Four Christmases , home alone 

15. What do you leave for Santa?
I grew up leaving cookies and milk. G will do the same..and sugar cubes and carrots for the reindeer :)

16.Do you have a Christmas morning tradition?
Not yet, but will be excited to see what our first ones are when G is a bit older and understands :) probably a big breakfast while opening gifts with a movie in in the background.

17. Do you prefer to shop on-line or at the mall?
Definitely online. I hate the crowds.

18.Christmas letter or Christmas card?
Neither. Maybe once our family is complete :)

19.Snow? Love it or dread it?
I love snow. I love how it glistens and shines in the sunlight. However, I hate hate hate hate driving in it.

20. Real tree or fake tree?

Fake. We hate the shape of real trees and the amount of work they are.

21.Do you remember your favorite gift?
Hmm my favorite gift? That’s hard. It really varied from year to year based on my age/tastes. My 2 wheel bike growing up was a big one I think, my stereo system one year...lots of stuff. Christmas was always over the top and filled with favourite gifts, we were very blessed.

22.What’s the most important thing about Christmas for you?
Celebrating with family. Watching peoples faces when you look around the room. Seeing how the family changes and grows over the years 

23.What is your favorite Holiday dessert?
Cookies. (Shortbread, sugar, macaroons, etc) pretty simple, huh? Lol

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
