29 before 29 : 1 Month in
Here I am to do my first update on my 29 before 29 list. I think I plugged away at a few, and am happy with my progress so far! Just under 8 months left to complete :)
- Spend an entire day being pampered I plan on doing this in March
- Attend at least one festival during festival season
- Watch an outdoor concert (these are my favourite)
- Go to the drive in
- Read 10 books I read the book Heaven is for Real and am currently working on Fault in our Stars.
- Cook 1 meal totally outside my comfort zone
- Research astrology Googled this and read up on Libra (my sign)--there is a lot to learn. I want to learn about all signs though
- Donate 29 items to charity I cleaned out my closet and G's baby toys that we could part with---clothes alone were probably 40 things, and three moving boxes for G's toys (probably a total of 20 things that he is way too old for)...feel pretty good about that haul :)
- Try a new fitness class I got a Goodlife membership. Now I just have to make it a routine of going. I want to take a rebounding, kettleball or spin class with a girl from work separately from the gym though.
- Take a cooking class Found two in the area that are of interest. Another girl from work wants to come to this one with me.
- Change my last name (I am having a hard time parting with my maiden name)
- Visit a new city/town
- Have my palm read Found a place that does this in the Market every Thursday for $20. So we may be able to scratch this off the same day as the cooking class!
- Watch 10 award winning movies I haven’t seen before
- Try 5 new restaurants Tried two--Todric's and New Edinburg Pub. Both I will go back to :)
- Get away for a road trip/girls weekend
- Visit a zoo
- Make a herb garden (and keep it alive)
- 1 Act of random kindness (or more if the opportunity presents itself) At Walmart on Friday, they opened a new cash and called me over, but I grabbed a lady in line with a little girl and told them to go first, even though she had a cartful and I only had a few things. She was very appreciative (every line was like 10 people long it was so busy).
- Learn how to skate
- Try 2 new foods
- Lose 10 pounds Lost 3 so far. But after this weekend, who knows until I weigh myself again. Ugh.
- Have a wine and cheese pairing party, hosted by a sommelier
- Find a tea that I enjoy Bought two to try : Vanilla Nut and Mint Chocolate. Haven't tried them--but it's a step in the right direction. More on this later :)
- Learn to make 2 types of bread
- Get all my pictures printed hardcopy and put into albums according to year
- Overhaul/organize all rooms, closets, drawers and cupboards in my house Started doing this, but am not done without proper organizational supplies (baskets, plastic drawers/stackers, etc)--started on our master walk in, the linen closet, the laundry closet, the broom closet, the front hall closet, but none are completed.
- Ride a horse
- Go on a trip with Tyler We booked a trip to Dominican Republic for March :)
you should make Beer Bread...its super easy and super good!
